http://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin/comments/207hfb/ann_dogecoin16_its_ready_all_you_need_to_know/

"Now, onto the juicy part; what did we change?

Firstly, for those of you not already aware - Dogecoin has been gamed by Multipools. Multipools were cherry-picking large blocks (which were found to be provably pre-calculable), and hammering our networks hashrate - making mining for the solo doges incredibly difficult, while dampening their payouts massively. The end result was Multipool's having twice as much doge as the average consumer; allowing them to dump our prices down with ease.
This ends with v1.6.

Changes implemented;
1) No longer a random block reward - we now only have static blocks. The current reward will be 250,000 Doge per block, with the halvening dropping us to 125,000 Doge per block, etc etc. This will prevent block cherry-picking; as we're seeing at the moment, with our community pools only seeing 100-200k blocks, while the multi's gaming the system are enjoying 300-500k blocks. From the 1.6 update, all blocks will be completely even.
2) The DigiShield difficulty algorithm: again, developed and contributed by the very clever folks at /r/DigiByte[7] , this allows for rapid block retarget times, and rapid recovery from multipools suddenly hitting the network; meaning that our miners will no longer suffer from extremely long block times if a Multipool does decide to jump on board. This new algorithm will retarget our block times MUCH faster - ensuring the hard-mining shibe is not left holding the bag after the multipool ransack.

tl,dr: Multipools cannot selectively pick nice blocks anymore - nor can they do long lasting damage to our hashrates."

We're well into preboom territory now, those who were riding this solely for the bubble are disembarking, the only people who are left will be tippers and miners. It's over. You sunk years of savings into this and now it is has devalued 50%+, just get out now then sit upon the floor and deeply consider the gravity of your error.

Dear, Doge Fanboys and cheerleaders,

Your crappy shitcoin is nothing but a crappy clone of any one of the 100's of other scrypt clones
with an icon as it's only unique feature and redeeming quality.. which is just a picture some guy found online and used.
The dev / douche aka: coin cloner, could not even be bothered to create a new meme.jpg for his Coingen coin lol

i hope anyone supporting this coin gets cleaned out and loses all their money bad !

Doge coin is a scammy crap clone coin that is damaging to Bitcoin and the entire Altcoin scene.
When major news outlets online report on Bitcoin news and they start including news about Doge
it make Bitcoin look bad.. i can see clearly people who are not even in crypto are disgusted by this crap scam coin.
Never mind the guys like me who have been at it for a while and watched many other shitcoins like this come and go..

The only reason it has gotten popular is because noobs that showed up late to the Altcoin game
decided they would FLASH MINE this coin.. greedy stupid noobs are the problem and i kinda wish Bitcoin never exploded in popularity sometimes.

The intelligence level of Doge supporters is at best.. retarded.
They are too stupid to realize that their support of Doge and their damaging antics are undermining the very thing giving their shit coin any value at all.
Which is the ability to dump the shit coin for a REAL currency such as Bitcoin.. you make Bitcoin look bad by shouting Doge all over the web..
while making Bitcoin look bad while in turn making Doge look bad and worth less.. your smart guys lol

I just feel sorry for all the dev's out there that had gone to great lengths to create and support a REAL honest alternative to Bitcoin.
The lime light is stolen from them at every turn because of mouthy retard noobs screeching Doge and Much yes 'tard crap..

Don't think so.

But I have this:
Doge will crash so hard and you will all bite your asses that you didnt invest into something stable.
You might get bucks now - if you sell. But you are not selling, you are holding while china wolong rapes your market. Raped markets will crash, that's a natural law.
Stablecoin is meant to be stable, that's why it is a SAFE investment.
So why don't you become clever ONCE in lifetime and get your coins into a save habour like Stablecoin or Worldcoin? I made $15k USD from Stablecoin, nobody made anything over $10 with that intrinsically worthless tumblr shitcoin.

what's the point? 99% of the coins will turn to shit anyway.
i have a retarded 270x getting 300-400, so i could probably double that if i got another identical card, risers, a new PSU, dealt with electricity costs, hardware failures and battled with retarded software. 600-800kh/s would cost me another £180 for the second card alone.
if on the other hand i spend £10/hr renting someone else's hashing power, i have hundreds of mh/s (seriously) immediately pointed at whichever pool i feel is least likely to fail. i get the easiest-to-mine coins at speeds which makes every single person's rig on /biz/ look like shit.
pic is what imma buy when i finally hit a coin which isn't utter shit.

okay, my pc averages about 140w when doing normal stuff (and it runs anyway).

now I underclocked both of my GPUs and the 280x (for exclusively for mining) mines at ~300kh/s at ~190watt system power draw.

so my computer is pulling 50w more for 300kh/s for unnoticed, half-assed mining in the background.
on full power mining it draws ~370w and averages 720kh/s.

good idea? y/n

tl,dr: Multipools cannot selectively pick nice blocks anymore - nor can they do long lasting damage to our hashrates.
