I fell for the diversification meme and have been way too diversified over the past 5 years (rarely more than 8% in a single position and would put most into index funds). I kept telling myself that I couldn't possibly be that much smarter than the markets (that's what we're told in class) but I was. Almost all of my investments (except for index funds) have outperformed the markets by a HUGE margin. I mainly invest in micro cap stocks.

Diversification is good if you don't know what you're doing (95%+ of investors), but if you find some amazing opportunities (e.g. a micro cap stock selling at 70% discount compared to fair value) then it's dumb not to invest 20%-30% of your net worth.. I learned this the hard way..

I don't understand people with 20 coins in their portfolio.
I'm always all-in in 1-2 coins, flip them for profits, rinse and repeat. Meanwhile I keep some BTC and some FIAT free to eventually buy dips.
