$8k to $10k is my 3-5 year target

Seems quite a few in here feel the same

I have 100 of them which if it hits $8k usd will get me a brand new lambo after taxes . I live in Oz so my tax rate is 50% and a brand new lambo is $600k

But I’m not that stupid, if I made that kind of money it would go straight into property so I could live comfy off rental income forever

It is entirely dependent on Bitcoin. The EthBTC ratio will peak around .3-.4 MAX. If BTC goes to 200K, ETH could be worth a fucking lot in that scenario. More realistically ETH will lose that ratio if BTC goes that high, to like .1 and be worth 20K.

BTC ATH was 19700 dollars. It will never get that high again. You will not get rich holding coins that already mooned. Especially not bitcoin or eth.

Can you get rich TRADING them? Sure, the go up an down all the time. They are great assets for a patient swing trader. But you will not get rich buying and holding high mc coins anymore. That ship has sailed.

I would be inclined to believe something like this.

In '17, BTC was the hype and ETH was still a dull roar. The next run, ETH could very likely be the hype, whereas BTC can't gain more popularity than ETH will. So, assuming ETH surpasses its last peak ratio of ~0.1, I would expect more like a ratio of 0.2 but depends on timing too. But assuming you swap to BTC at 0.2, then BTC goes to 200k, that'd put 1 ETH at $40k. So assuming BTC does well and you trade out of ETH at a reasonable ratio before BTC pumps, you should be able to snag $10k without much trouble.

>> No.20677198

>>20676748
no, newfag, in 2017 eth was all the hype in the world because of the ICOs and being relatively new, now people at least know its semi useless, could see it hit fairly high price but it will never threaten btc market cap again

>> No.20677360

>>20677198
I was here in 2017 but keep name calling because your opinion is threatened.

ETH was not all the hype in the world. Of everyone I talk to about crypto, all my friends have heard of BTC, a few had invested in it, and none had even heard of ETH. I was the only one, and I bought in. Knowledge of ETH in 2017, as well as knowledge of general alts in 2017, was similar to knowledge of BTC in runs prior to 2017. There were talks of the few people that actually bought into BTC that early making big money on it. This convinced more people to buy into the following bull runs. This went on and on, accumulating more and more of the population during each run. BTC is reaching ever closer to its critical popularity mass. If you think ETH and alts are anywhere near that, you're crazy. 2017 was the first time for the alt coin market to really make a moderate amount of people rich. Everyone who wanted to get into alts in 2017 but was too late will surely want to do so now. Just like the previous evolution of BTC.

Any of you newfags who were not there in 2017, shut your fag mouths. You have no idea Wtf was happening. There was a lot of hype surrounding a lot of coins, a lot of stupid money pouring in from all directions, with way less liquidity. So many of the cryptos being pumped were scarcely more than ideas. Now crypto is far more mature and people can actually DO stuff - interesting stuff - with crypto. Now there is actually a rational basis to FOMO, it is way easier to buy crypto, plenty of people who feel they missed the last bubble, in a milieu with more regulatory certainty.

$10000 it's just way too high, no bullrun will be as epic as the 2017 one.

>> No.20677843

Youre dumb. Actual use cases = speculation ends and true valuation is determined. Eth is a fucking mess and nobody can fix it. 2.0 is a meme. Staking will solve nothing.
