Oh come on, it's not fucking 2017. Every single project keeps reiterating this crap, give me a break. There are literally thousands of projects that have died on the runway with this holier-than-thou attitude, because they couldn't get traction. This project has a golden opportunity right now, but devs are intentionally refusing to do anything that might increase the availability/recognition.

>> No.20665920

Assuming all block rewards get used to create masternodes, thats a 700 MN inflation per year. The danger of that is bad actors with unlimited fiat printing abilities can eventually purchase enough masternodes to control the network.

>> No.20665957

Can someone explain to me the difference between staking and masternodes?

>> No.20666055

>>20665920
Block rewards are a 45/45/10 split between MNs, staking, and the Treasury.
Over-representation of MNs over staking makes staking the more profitable option and vice-versa.
That would also imply that the rewards spread across every single person staking, the entire MN network, and the Treasury would be selling 100% of their rewards for the year.
XSN's MN distribution has a rather healthy level of diversification as is. Some may choose to sell out completely. Other whales may just stay in and stay in for good.

Staking pays out block rewards
MNs cost money to host and run the DEX so they gain fees from the DEX in addition to block rewards

That happens when MNs are upgraded to Hydra nodes in stage 3.
The fee structure will be customizable depending on the jobs individual MN owners want their nodes to do and should allow the MN owner to run their choice of compatible trading pairs

>>20666292
the economics of xsn's ecosystem should allow it to scale and adjust perpetually. long-term, a possible complication may be one where the rate of inflation doesn't produce enough MNs to keep up with network demand. that could possibly be alleviated by upping the minimum requirements for MN hardware to higher specs.
on the other hand, perhaps the rate of inflation is a bit much and leads to excess. i'm doubtful it would veer this way, but it could possibly in the depths of a future bear market. coin-burning should come into play quite nicely.

>> No.20666503

>>20663386
Well, if you put your first decade of masternode earnings to good use then at least your grandkids wont have to wagecuck.

>> No.20666528

>>20666292
With the double amount of coins, inflation would then be cut in half since the inflation is fixed.
You are also not calculating with to 10% of all trading fees that will be used to buy up coins directly from the sell walls and burn them.
In theory with a high enough trading volume on the Dex, the burning of coins coin be higher then new coins created.

So I have a very hard time understanding your argument, unless it comes from a point of ignorance.
Then it makes sense.

The way I figure, Stage 2 will be onboarding hubs. Those who have done the preparatory work, upgraded to dedicated VPS, will be receiving the dex fees. This will go on (stage2) until the network is robust enough with hubs that stage 3 can take place, which would be mandatory upgrade for all MN. Then all MN can collect. Im just speculating though.

(X) I know DEFI is the entire purpose of crypto. Its why btc was created. So we can be our own bank.

(X) I know BTC did not succeed because it didn't scale and for btc to succeed now it requires lightning network. For similar reasons, I know for eth to succeed, raiden is required.

(X) I know a DEX with atomic swaps is too slow to be commercially feasible. A lightning and raiden dex is required.

(X) I know people are fearful of trading on CEX due to situations like Cryptopia and Quadriga.

(X) I know XSN is the only project with a true dex integrating lightning and raiden. It will allow people to trade peer to peer directly from their computer. They always hold their coin. Never transfer to an exchange.

(X) I know XSN has an actual working product and you can beta test it right now in a private group in discord if you ask nicely.

(X) I know XSN is not a project that talks. They just do. I don't have to worry about an exit scam.

(X) I know XSN masternodes will process transactions on the dex and will receive the fees.

If all of the above are true, my masternodes will fucking buy me a nice big boat and quit wagecucking.
