Progressive taxation and strong safety nets promote peace and social cohesion. Universal health care, housing and food should be basic expectations from a first world government.

Completely unregulated markets inevitably lead to collusion, monopolization and kleptocracy.

Trump is a buffoon, demented, and a pathological liar. He's unfit to be a janitor, much less a president.

Women are mostly fine, the ones who aren't can mostly be blamed on social media and capital interests warping interpersonal relationships/expectations into unworkable forms.

Blacks are mostly fine, they may have an average lower IQ but there are plenty who are smart, kind and hardworking.

Jews are basically fine, they're overrepresented in high status positions because they're naturally hyperintelligent and have strong ingroup prefence. Elites are scum, which means elite jews are scum. So what.

Guns are enh, not a big fan but they're not going away anytime soon so trying to ban them is kind of retarded.

Religion is make-believe but it clearly confers strong group and individual survival advantages, so I'm fine with it mostly.

Gays can do what they want so long as they don't rub it in my face. They're a superminority of the population, who cares. More vaginas for the rest of us.

Trannies are confused and I feel bad for them. If they could push a button and magically switch sexes for real, then it would fine. But 99% of people will never pass as the opposite sex no matter how much work they put into it, and telling them otherwise is abusive.

Q and pizzagate shit is nothing but an exercise in schizo confirmation bias bogeyman hunting. It's popular because people are massively and structurally disenfranchised and looking for an easy scapegoat to blame for it all.

Oh, right, and fiat money is a crooked bankster scam and the only legitimate currency is gold and silver, with tens of millennia of proven success behind it.

Do I belong on /pmg/? (in b4 you belong on reddit)

Ok so it's clear that, like with most people, your views are mostly normative and not really descriptive. Using moral heuristics saves energy, but your outlook doesn't converge on reality and the broader complex systems at play.

>Progressive taxation and strong safety nets promote peace and social cohesion. Universal health care, housing and food should be basic expectations from a first world government.

This is absolutely wrong, and you're only a sentence in. The USA has a progressive tax system and extremely strong safety nets. So strong, in fact, that our largest minority lives off of the welfare state. Does this keep them docile and happy? No, it turns them into drug-addled, resentful, violent manchildren who threaten to burn the whole thing down every chance they get. Adding "universal healthcare" would do nothing but further drag down what little remains of the wealth of the nation.

Great bait, mate.

And their old coins are extremely expensive, but they have a great selection of individual memismatic items. It would just be terrible to actually seriously stack weight with their old coins. Generally the problem with British junk silver is that because they starting taken the silver out earlier, sterling and even 50% coins are more expensive than their American counterparts simply because they’re older and therefore rarer. Which is actually great if you are actually a coin collector, but terrible if you want to stack metal.

The way the old British coins look is absolutely fantastic though. I still buy individual pieces just to have, also South African and Indian coins.

I would tend to wonder what the point of civilization is if not to elevate the participants therein out of the state of eternal precarity that nature would otherwise set them in. Moreover setting a floor for individual wellbeing (basic shelter and food needs taken care of, by whatever means) and eliminating precarity is probably the most streamlined way of re-empowering normal humans re: employer relations and labor negiotiations. Employers know they can offer dogshit wages and conditions and workers will agree because the alternative is starvation. Giving workers the ability to actually walk away from a bad deal affords them bargaining power which in turn tightens the gap between rich and poor in a way that is not artificial. And outsize wealth inequality is absolutely one of the most robust predictors out there for any and all metrics of social decay that you'd care to look at.

Welfare and parasite class-ism is mostly enabled by the reality of welfare cliffs built into current laws such there is no point working at all, very much like the current $600/wk unemployment benefits that wagies would lose out on if they went back to their $400/wk jobs. There is no reason why basic needs support has to be structured this way, except that it is politically convenient to do so so that we can point at it and say it doesn't work. Basic needs assistance is built to fail the way it is currently structured.

Humans have immutable natures born of differing evolutionary conditions. For example: blacks are less intelligent and have less capacity to delay gratification than whites so they cannot survive in white countries.

However, what is universal to all humans is the necessity of adversity. Adversity is the source of all character, strength, and fulfillment. Welfare relieves adversity, thus relieving the entire purpose for life. There is a sweet spot between too much adversity and too little, and providing for people things like housing, food, and healthcare is demonstrably too little adversity.

You're naive as fuck. If we gave everyone a UBI, 30% of the population would spent it all on drugs, entertainment, and clothes and be broke, starving, and not making rent at the end of the month.

If you give housing, healthcare, everything as an unconditional human right, the need of humans is endless. Once a multigenerational family home was acceptable, now every single mother needs a 2 bedroom apartment. Once 90% effective medical treatment was acceptable, now it's inhumane and needs to be 99%, now 99.9%, now 99.99%, and every extra 9 costs an order of magnitude. Look at the cost of college too. Making these "human rights" balloons the cost of the services to the point where a person can't afford them on their own, only through the government, and the system collapses under it's own weight and everyone is worse off than if they had to work for a living and the 5% who couldn't relied on family or charity.

True. Much of the "institutional racism" is simply black people in general being bad at being white people. That doesn't mean black people are inferior, but it means black people make inferior white people. Some black anons are pretty awesome and blend right in, but on the whole, people will thrive more in a society made up of their own kin where they have genetic traits that have been selected for and valued in their own kin group. God created the nations. Man did not. He made us diverse, just as he made all of nature diverse. We make better neighbors than we do roommates. Thus the Kingdom to come will be made up of nations under the one True King, where we can have brotherhood amongst the nations, not this satanic forced diversity where we destroy the national characteristics and identities that more resembles Babel.

This exact regime drives income polarization by benefiting big corporations with elastic labor demand, funneling money to elites, and creating a pool of welfare-dependent voters. The incidence of these policies has been on the middle class, which further decreases income mobility, just as has happened in the West.

All about this interpretation. Different ecologies produce different human beings that are specifically made to thrive in those ecologies. All humans deserve to be treated with dignity and equality under the law, but that does not mean all humans are equal. The most important thing is that we don't try to coddle other adult humans like children when they fail. I want to buy a decent amount of silver and store it in my home. The difference between the buy price and the actual value of silver is quite significant for example if I was going to pay £21 per oz coin, plus VAT it's about £26 so silver would have to rise at least another 21% to break even, plus the difference from spot on top? This doesn't strike me as a good investment unless counting on +30% value.

Of course im probably getting it all wrong. Help appreciated

Post the studies that actually show evidence for these causal relationships. I have a feeling you're just treating hypothetical positives as proven and hypothetical negatives as non-existent.

There will never be UBI in practice: or do you actually disabled/sick people will receive the same amount of money as healthy workers? So it doesn't save anything in bureaucracy.

UBI removes barriers to entry for potential recipients of welfare, both economically and statuswise.

How do you pay the massive bill without killing the middle class and disincentivizing labor; or are you basing your argument on a fallacy of composition?

Flat income tax == functionally, gradual phaseout of UBI as extra income increases. Obviously the point being that a welfare trap in the current system has more barriers to entry, so it's not all bad.
>I spreadsheeted this once
Yeah i can't get into the weeds as to some spreadsheet of yours. My point is that an analysis of how some control group reacts to UBI (you didn't respond with any research articles) doesn't account for the income and substitution effects of taxes, which certainly will never ever be flat in this timeline. Fadeout = progression. Typically I hear these cost pretty much, but I we can't get into that here.
>Disabled? Yes.
Not sure if the populace can stomach seeing that happen, if a sufficient level of care would cost more.
>Yes, how could the family unit possibly be strengthened by eliminating the need for both parents to work 60 hours a week earning nonlivable wages just to scrape by (also needing to afford child care where someone else raises your kid for you because nobody is ever at home)?
Men have 0 value to women if they're not providing, unless we're talking about some warrior type society (blacks in america), where men compete for access to women and invest little in their offspring. People have coped with hard work (which modern service sector work is not) for millennia, but the family unit can't withstand men being worthless.

The new incentives of the economic system can lead to an overall drop in production and thus consumption.

Even though we can look at an individual family and decide they're better off with a handout, it's a fallacy of composition to say that therefore we give the same handout for ALL families and expect a similar result.

LIRA is basically if you don't really have a choice, it's a locked account with special rules. The reason I have a LIRA is because my government pension included both my contributions + government contributions (matching). Basically if I wanted to 'cash out' my pension I would have only gotten my own contribution and the government portion would disappear. A LIRA can never be straight up withdrawn entirely as cash, it can only be converted into an income fund (like a LIFA) to recieve monthly payouts when you are retired.

When it comes to TFSA/RRSP, with a TFSA you pay tax up front, with an RRSP you pay tax on withdrawl. TFSA contributions aren't tax deductable - so you pay tax up front, but then don't pay tax on any profits. RRSP contributions are tax deductable - so you pay the tax later on withdrawal, but then you will pay tax on profits.

If you are going to buy your first home yet, you should also look at how RRSP Home Buyer's Plan withdrawals work.

For a long term strategy for a young person I would suggest:
1. Invest in RRSP until you hit the Home Buyer's Plan limit (now $35,000), if you are intending to buy your first home still.
2. Invest in TFSA until you hit your contribution limit.
3. Invest in RRSP until you hit your contribution limit.
4. Invest any excess in a regular taxed account.

Hope this makes sense.

>The researchers found that the unconditional payments to residents had no real impact upon full-time employment levels (whether positive or negative), although they did find that part-time work increased by about 17%. [...] part-time employment went down, but this appeared to be more than offset by increases in part-time employment in the non-tradable sectors of the Alaskan economy.

https://www.bbc.com/worklife/article/20200624-canadas-forgotten-universal-basic-income-experiment
>Forget found that employment rates in Dauphin stayed the same throughout the four years of Mincome

Clearly these all have significant caveats in terms of their size and duration. But I have yet to run into an experiment that has turned up evidence that people slag off in droves when they receive basic unconditional assistance. People can REEE in about homogenous populations, it wouldn't work in america, etc etc. These are all speculations based on bias and no evidence that are contravened by the (admittedly limited and incomplete) evidence available today.

Moreover it's not clear to me why a reduction in employment would necessarily be a bad thing if it driven by people being able to afford to quit and a) devote time to raising their families instead of outsourcing it to child care and K-12 concentration facilities, b)pursue education, or c)negotiate for better working conditions from a position of nonprecarity.

There will be no monetary reset
stocks will continue to increase in price thanks to the fed pumping money, however, the growth will be much slower than we've seen during this 13 year bull market in equities and this growth will lag behind inflation causing stocks to increase in price while losing purchasing power.
