gday lads sorry to bother you all but i have a strange feeling about a job interview i attended today, it was for an unskilled forklift driver and after sitting down and being interviewed i was asked if i would wait for the ceo to arrive for a secondary interview, this secondary interview was a proposal from the company to take me on as a sales rep instead of a forklift driver saying that they think it would be better suited.

what are the chances im getting scammed / they will try to put me on commission based pay?

Just tell them that you are best suited to work that pays well, ask for the forklift salary as a baseline and commission on top. All sales jobs are commission based but need a retainer too
