It makes sense when you have a smart contract/IoT infrastructure to make people part of the IoT too. So when your package arrives they scan your wrist and have proof of delivery, and your biometric ID is logged which guarantees that it was actually delivered to you personally.

The people who don't opt in will be left behind, it would be like not owning a cell phone or using the internet today. Sure, you can survive, but you won't make it anywhere in business. I predict a new hardcore neo-luddite movement where people go completely basic and off-grid because they refuse to participate.
