Explain why you aren't accumulating Ethereum right now at $243 and I'll explain to you why you are retarded.

I invest in the internet of blockchains that will connect them all

so we can lock our eth for eth2 on a chain that does nothing and get less % in staking returns than any defi platform offers. also there is no way to convert the eth2 back to eth.

My goal is 32 ETH for my own staking node. I'm riding the defi train right now to accomplish this and take as many x2, x5 and x10 as I can. Actually it's that easy, it feels wrong lol. ATM I jumped onto ASKO which is at only 0.008c. It's not a geniusly concept, but it'll do an easy x10 cuz all those defis reach at least 5-10c

Make your gains elsewhere but be sure to return to ETH. In fact any defi coins you're playing with you should be measuring the success of your trading in ETH profit.

If they miss this deadline, ETH's price is going to get destroyed and literally all credibility will be lost forever IMO. I don't think there is any chance they miss November unless something extreme happens (a serious exploit is found) and the community understands.

you don't have to stake if you don't want to. If you do stake before there is the ETH 1 <--> ETH 2 bridge, staking rewards are expected to be extremely high (10%+). So basically, lack of fungibility and high risk = high reward

Phase zero accomplishes what anon? you can stake your coins if you burn your Ethereum. What happens with miners, are they just gonna say fck it to all that mining hardware and kiss the chain goodbye? there's a risk there. have you considered it
>You don't get your rewards for that staking until phase 2 is deployed
Meaning you'll start getting paid in 2023-2026
>ETH 2.0 will only be 33% byzantine resistant at best.
>You burn your ETH to get the new and improved "beacon chain ETH 2.0 ETH" which lives on on a different blockchain... which triggers a taxable event.
enjoy paying capital gains on your long term hold... that will be less byzantine resistant... that pays out several years from now when the whole thing is finished. no thanks

>> No.20584392

>>20584320
I didn't say you actually have to stake right away. I just say accumulate ETH right now. The launch of Phase 0 will still drive up the price.

>> No.20584458

>>20584392
so accumulate a chain that will be only 33% byzantine resistant and will require a swap for a new cryptocurrency ETH2.0 ETH that will trigger a taxable event... in order to earn staking rewards in the future. sorry anon, I don't want to trigger that taxable event and destroy a chunk of my crypto holdings just to be able to earn staking rewards when it's finished. Think about the capital gains tax. the two chains will exist side by side, they are not the same chain, they are not the same crypto, you will owe capital gains. like I said, no thanks.

>> No.20584641

>>20584458
No retard, I'm saying buy Ethereum now and hold until after Phase 0 launches and watch Ethereum's price pump astronomically as people FOMO into the news. When Phase 1 and 1.5 and 2.0 launches, the price of regular Ethereum should be through the roof. You don't need to move anything to the ETH 2.0 chain if you don't want to.

>> No.20584989

>>20584251
i doubt that but if it is way above 6% (defi interest for eth) i will move to staking them

it's based on the amount of ETH staked. the devs estimate a low amount of ETH being staked during the time where it can't be pulled out, but no one really knows.
