I actually bought some under $200 but my average is in the 200s. Either way, it doesn't matter what you think and your performance from precious metals is a joke. I think they're going to beat on earnings, maybe post a GAAP EPS as high as $2 depending on how much deferred revenue they want to recognize, but I'm not sure what the price will do. I don't think it will drop if they beat and the price is below $1700 going into it. If I had to pull a number from the air, I would say maybe in the 1900 range in the few days following earnings but most likely I'll be wrong.

There's potential to go higher from more retail FOMO but market makers stand to lose a lot in situation so maybe they'll keep it pinned. I'm already weary from all the option gambling going on. It's really anyone's guess so I try not to concern myself with events like this. I already have a low average, no sense in keeping myself up at night when I don't even have calls. Instead I keep myself up thinking about how I had LEAPs that I sold for shares when TSLA was below $1000 because I fell for the Bobo sky is falling meme.

I have a large put spread position on $1350, historically Tesla moves 8-10% in one direction, not enough to profit from a straddle - and the movements are usually done over 2 days (and over the weekend) like you said.. I want to talk myself out and just sit this one out but I figure a $1345 breakeven point is a gamble worth taking. I also have a $2000c expiring 7/24 that I bought on a whim last week.

I think if Tesla tanks hard, I'll actually go all in on LEAPs while the price is cheap and sit on it until Tesla does its usual miracle through 2021.

They do because I think 1 share of Tesla will easily justify a $1000 price tag (2020 dollars) by 2028 at the latest. I also let EV sit in my head because I want to spread further into energy and metals. You have no idea how disappointed I am in the anons that refused to attempt getting /evg/ to take off.

Now let it sink into your mind. You missed out. You couldn’t afford it when it skyrocketed, and you seethe because it made mad gains and you cannot fathom that others got in early. So you go to /pmg/ and hope to god you get a pump so you can come ruin /smg/.

why do you do this every time. no one worth a damn has a cent to spend on whining about missing the ride up and no one worth a damn would be speculating on TSLA right now without tight stops or a hedge (which is incredibly expensive iirc). That is a bull put spread position, right? I don't understand options well, at what TSLA price do you get the maximum amount of profit from that? I doubt it will break $1400 unless their earnings are much worse than expected. It looks like $1500 is setting itself up as the floor.
>not enough to profit from a straddle
Right, I think only around 1/5th of people who bought straddles on TSLA have made money from it according to some article I read today.
>I also have a $2000c expiring 7/24
I'm jealous, that could really print. Outside of my core position, I only have 5 shares that I'm swing trading right now.

>You missed out. You couldn’t afford it when it skyrocketed, and you seethe because it made mad gains

This is straight retarded. There’s a million wonderful opportunities every single day.The only reason missing out on Tesla should bother anyone is if they really wanted to be part of the Tesla story, and really enjoyed the thought of getting rich because Musk and Tesla.

If you imagine yourself telling women at cocktail parties that you got your wealth because you longed Tesla, then you should be pissed you missed out.

Fuckkkk also because I bought physical, Charles, junior minors, and calls... yeah it’s going back to 18 just to break my balls.

>There’s a million wonderful opportunities every single day.
No there is not, opportunities like that are very rare. Not one large cap stock has outperformed TSLA in the last two years. You didn't just rob yourself of the gains, you robbed yourself of an entry and you're going to continuously miss out in the coming years. Sure, you could have made more money with something else but you didn't which is why you should just own the fact that you missed out instead of coping about it.

>> No.20572269

They don’t have to care. Their actions say otherwise. EV shills looked for alternatives because nobody is buying Tesla at those prices. Every time there’s a 100% pump within a week, some aspie goes and makes a video about “the next tesla” and they’ll ride the hype and hold just in case something like WKHS happens and there’s rumor of a possible contract. Anyone else who holds as it falls will continue to hold in case it moons once more.
You can miss one opportunity but there may not be another one. Most will take what they can get. A majority of people who blew off Tesla will look back in regret and hope for something else they can get in on for even the slightest of gains.

If there were many of opportunities like Tesla every day, what makes you think people will take it? They won’t know unless they do their research, feel confident in taking the risk of investing in that stock and riding it out, or if they just decide to not take that risk and sit on the sidelines until something happens.
