I have a buddy who was one step below executive in private security. Six figs, tons of schooling, docter wife. They own an outdated house in a house about a little over 2 hours from a major city. They had to rip up carpet on their own and still don't have cash to do a load of stuff.

Fact is, the get to the point of buying a house you needed to be a success - as in, you have two degrees (bach and mast) and you're fucking hungry.
