is part of the infinite monies usa is printing going towards bitcoin price devaluation? if they print an infinite amount wouldnt that theoretically be enough to oppress bitcoin forever, if so?

>> No.20538282

That would increase the value of bitcoin, not decrease it.

The economy is actually very deflationary right now (as it usually is during recessions), which is why the rampant money printing is not causing much inflation.

whats stopping them from using "finifnite monies" for "infinite price manipulations"? i dont understand how your point is a contra to my hypothesis, please elaborate

That's because of 0% interest rates and the Fed giving everybody free money. Low risk for most industries outside of the travel sector.

It's not really infinite money. The "free money" is the PPP forgiveness and the Fed buying bond indexes and treasuries, which increases the money supply. The Fed can print infinite money, but they haven't done so.

Aggregate demand is lower and the velocity of money has been reduced, and that has had a greater deflationary effect than the money printing has been inflationary.
