Guys I need your advice, seriously... I did my research on RLC and it looked really legit. So I went all in with $50k with my kids college fund when I thought we would break $2 but we didn't... Should I cut my losses? Please honest advice, this is a lot of money for me. I'm feeling really sick

>> No.20495603

No, swings like this are normal. Why would you sell after a week. If you trust the tech and believe in the project then why would you sell AT A HUGE LOSS? Just hold your RLC, in fact a real chad would see this as another buying opportunity.y

Imagine selling 10 days before the EEA where rlc is presenting WITH microsoft and announcing partnership with yet another tech giant that is onboard, and fully revealing V5 and its adoption tools.
Incredible, honestly.

>> No.20495765

Because it is an absolute scam. Why would anyone want a decentralized cloud for their application? As a developer, everyone would always go for a certified, centralized provider of good quality computing resources than gamble for some pajeets’ computers working together on some network that spends half the computing power just coming to consensus about whatever the fuck I asked it to do in the first place.
I’m sorry, I just can’t see any reason I’d ever use this over AWS/Google Cloud/Microsoft Azure when every single one of them has the same service of “run your code as a service” with proper Service Level Agreements, and these are just the big players in cloud. I haven’t even started listing any small, specialized providers that are more efficient for specific tasks.
RLC is really just not needed. Not everything needs decentralization, specifically high computation thing

Lmao then why are they all on board?
Iexec has a team of 6 phds and cloud computing genuises and partners and affliliates at the highest level of modern technology (microsoft google intel)
Lmao this fuckin guy
"As a developer" headass hahaha
Iexec is in a totally different league, you have no room or ground to stand on to say companies would not employ iexec as a tool then all evidence states the complete fucking opposite
If companies didnt want to use it, they wouldnt be sharing the stage with fuckin microsoft in a week, they wouldnt have collaborated with intel and google, and they wouldnt have yet another tech giant partnership to come (likely amazon)
My god dude the state of these nonbelivers

Seething. I like how you guys offer 0 explanation, you’re just throwing back the names of partnerships hoping they mean something. They don’t, and they are not partnerships, but collaborations at most.
Tell me why I would use this when I know for a fact that latency would be higher, computing power to run my code will be higher, and I’m introducing another layer of complexity to my application with no reward whatsoever except for “iT hAs BeEn CoMpUtED dEcEnTRaLly”

>> No.20496383

Something like that, yes. And, yes, it is very computationally heavy and contains sensitive information. My particular use case will likely never leave an enterprise’s on-premises data center, or maybe a single AWS or Azure tenant for security purposes.

>> No.20496544

>>20496383
You may have a usecase where the extremely sensitive nature of may prevent decentralized computing but the entire idea behind RLC is that the data being worked on is never seen by those working on it done in an incredibly cost-effective manner. If it slashed computational costs by half or a third I think most enterprises would be willing give it a fair shake especially if the sidechain model to keep it off the mainnet is true but still transact in RLC. Guess we'll see.

>> No.20496646

Don't put money you can't lose. You utter retard. And it also seems you're impatient as fuck, most of us (the real chads) have been holding rlc since 2017.

it seems like you have never heard the tech iexec uses, evrything is secure and you can trust your computation has been done effectively to the highest degree of certitude.
The reason this doesnt already exist is because it took a long time to develop this kind of tech (by intel giant and others, such as iexec).
