Read up on impermanent loss. Linkies for example can do single token exposure and dont have to deposit a balance of 50/50 ETH and LINK to gain trading fees and dont have to worry about getting rekt if ratio runs away from them.

Imagine a protocol where you are actually incentivized to provide liquidity. Uniswap you always get rekt if supplying to LPs.

That's cause its still in V1...You understand that you only get profits from the LP you provide liquidity to right? Volume on uniswap could be 1 billion but you wont profit from that proportionally unless you have LP tokens for every pool, enjoy your impermanent loss. At least with V2 and staking, more liquidity and volume drives token value for BNT even if you aren't providing BNT for every V2 pool.

Protocol token needed to enable community customization of protocol and network, governance with Bancor DAO and liquidity mining (staking rewards / inflation). Cant do that will a blockchain level asset like ETH serving as network hub token, which is what Uniswap uses. Normally I don't do margin trading, but I could not resist and did go long yesterday. Bancor V2 does eliminate impermanent loss!!!!! for the most liquid pool. impermanent loss become permanent loss is what all liquidity provider to uniswap and balancer fear. I did provide 7 pairs on uniswap. After almost 1 year only one was not in the loss. So I stopped providing liquidity. So if Bancor fixes this, and they are the only one with this feature, liquidity will flow from other projects to bancors pool. This is big! This coin can go to 4.5 in no time!

Bancor was smart to geofence the bancor.network front end due to US regulatory uncertainty. With that said, it’s actually impossible to block access to Bancor’s permissionless contracts on the blockchain and there are numerous community interfaces built on bancor contracts, such as xnation.io and katanapools.com, that offer bancor swapping and staking functionality. Also, the Bancor DEX and BNT token are unironically not the same thing.
