People need to stop clinging on to 2017. The next bull run is in precious metals and commodities. Don't think that the crypto crowd yet understands the kind of gains which you get here; but, when they do, they will start rushing in, as Lobo Tiggre says. When silver went from $1 to $2 in the 70s, the average small-cap silver miner went up 150x. The same thing happened from 2001-2011. First Majestic, for example, went up 150x. I recommended Viszla Resources, a silver junior miner, to /biz/ a few weeks ago, when it was $0.40 CAD. It has since gone up fivefold. I don't recommend buying it still, because the stock has already run; I am simply making a point.

I've been in crypto a long time and I'm seeing the exact same stupid money start to enter the market again.

Look at what's happening with Dogecoin at the moment, Chainlink has corrected upwards (legit), but other projects are leeching onto it as much as they can and they're pumping unnecessarily (iExec) and other projects being hailed as the alternative to X (Cardano).

Money is being spent on hopes and prayers rather than fundamentals and it's growing, this is what started the ICO run and it looks like another is gearing up (no idea if it'll be the same as the previous one, could be bigger or smaller).

It does seem that way. Now would be a perfect time for ETH 2.0 Phase 0 release and the Bakkt app with starbucks integration and rewards points transferable into crypto.

Might get a TikTok surge for more than just Dogecoin, leading adhd teens into many different ones sparking runs.
Hash ribbons also just fired
Greater institutional investment this year. "1% bitcoin in your portfolio" meme growing.

Question is, is monetary policy 3 sustainable enough to give this market enough time to sustain momentum?

>> No.20465178

>>20465098
You can't take one factor into account, there's so much differences at the moment with the market, for example, people will become increasingly more desperate to make money when the financial impact of COVID19 start compounding and they'll start taking bigger risks.

If they're told about high-risk high-reward DeFi to make a lot of money fast, expect the same stupidity of people taking loans, remortgaging (what they can) to take the big risks for big money.

There's so much that can happen to compound FOMO at the moment it's ridiculous.

I'd advise everyone who wants the risk to get in on the floor sooner rather than later if you've been thinking about it.

To buy large-caps, purchase GDX and SIL. To buy mid-caps, purchase GDXJ and SILJ. There are no ETFs for small-caps; but this is a list of some favourites of mine which have yet to run too far. But be extremely careful with them. They are ultra-high risk, ultra-high reward.

Decided to look at what the other stocks on my list have done since this time, for my own curiosity.

Besides Vizsla Resources, up 500%:

Bear Creek Mining, up 43%.
Silver Elephant Mining, up 33%.
Impact Silver, up 25%.
Callinex Mines, up 20%.
Bluestone Resources, up 20%.
Excellon Resources, up 18%.
Silver One, up 17%.
McEwen Mining, up 15%.

Mean number in total is something like 80%. By contrast, even Tesla is only up by something like 50%. SILJ, the junior miners ETF, is only up 18%. So, yes, I did anybody who listened to me an enormous favour. If I saved them from throwing away their money on a crypto exit scam instead, even better.

A few are on the NYSE, like MUX (McEwen Mining), or the GDXJ and SILJ ETFs. Most, however, are listed on the Toronto or Australian stock exchanges. They ought to be available on many brokerages; some might even be on Robinhood for all I know. But some brokers will only list the version of a foreign exchange, and you have to be careful there, because stocks on foreign exchanges are highly illiquid. You have to make sure that you find what the price is on the original exchange, do a currency conversion, and put a bid in for that price only, rather than pay the asking price, which may be substantially higher than the true one.
