I am, I have gold so anything that accelerates the collapse of the dollar is good. Unfortunately, i dont see it happening. Welfare programs only exist to perpetuate and expand government bureaucracy, actually solving peoples problems is antithetical to that. UBI comes too close to problem solving, so unless they were to add layers and layers of exceptions and caveats to the point where the programs becomes effective only at retaining government bureaucrats and not helping citizens, they wont do it (especially now, cant have average whitey getting any scraps). Catch 22.

yeah see that video I posted it can explain to the laymen how welfare programs are traps but if Ubi is so good why isnt trump championing it? He puts work requirements on stamps but then gives 10times the savings to the military industrial complex in increases what is his deal

because i'd rather advocate my natural right to voluntarily separate/disassociate from this dumpster fire of a society and economy and gather with other individuals who want to form their own society where our private interests may flourish via commerce, rather than expanding state power and chaining myself and everyone else in the country to such violence-enforced social experiments as UBI
if i can't separate from you physically and economically without being subject to threats of violence from you, then every time you redirect power from the economy that i and others like me create and use this power to change and enforce the socioeconomic/regulatory landscape, you're forcing an experiment on me

Absolute garbage. I'll take it apart bit by bit.

1:20
"If we give people a universal basic income, will they stop working and spend all their money on tobacco and booze"

Then they show a study saying that poor people don't spend all their money on booze.

Notice the false equivalence here that they have inserted to make it seem like poor people not spending their money on booze/tobacco is proof that people will continue to work. Why did the maker of this video feel the need to insert this false equivalence? Are they not able to prove that people won't stop working?

For the next few minutes he talks about how welfare is bad because you have to look for a job, and says that UBI is better because it lets you focus on finding the job you want (???)

Also talks about UBI offering more personal freedom - apparently the personal freedom of people paying for all this isn't considered

He says the simplest way to implement it would be to remove alll welfare including medicaid and replace it with UBI. Mentions additional benefits like less government agencies.

Then he says "but after we remove all current welfare and replace it with UBI, some people will actually be worse off so we need to bring back those government agencies" lmao

also he hasn't mentioned roughly how much costs at all yet in his discussion of economics of it

Responsible parents only have the kids they can afford, in order to give those kids a good upbringing and in turn a good chance at a decent standard of living when they're older.

Shit parents just pump out kids, expect someone else to pay for them, neglect them, "raise" them into future criminals and dgaf about their future wellbeing.

The responsible parent's continuation strategy is for a small number of kids with good chances of reproducing. The irresponsible strategy is to spray DNA everywhere and hope some of them make it to adulthood to repeat the same. However, the former group raise the economic engines of the future, the latter raise its leeches.

When every child's future is predetermined to be the same regardless of upbringing, then the responsible strategy becomes terrible. For every 1 kid John and Jane produce, Shaniqua and father unknown produce 10. With UBI your children's futures are secured regardless of upbringing, so there is no point in raising kids well at all.

The goal then becomes to spray the most DNA around as fast as possible. Sexual characteristics like aggression and violence become the only important attributes for success, while attributes like stability and financial security become meaningless (since everybody is now guaranteed these things).

To begin with, most people will keep working the same way they always have. The guy who spent years studying to be an accountant isn't going to quit and become a drug dealing rapper overnight. But their kids will adapt and within a generation people will have learned how to succeed in the new world (by avoiding personal responsibility and chasing sex and violence).

We have already seen this in black American communities, where low wage jobs paid less than high welfare, so it became better for men and women to pursue the irresponsible strategy to produce offspring and have 10 kids each, rather than the responsible one which might give them 1 kid who'd grow up in the same neighborhood anyway.

the thing about UBI is that it's probably going to happen not because of politics but because of technical advancement. Whats going to happen when all jobs are automated? Saying "go get a job you slacker" won't make any sense because there won't be jobs to be had. So either we let people die off in their millions, or we have some sort of basic welfare set up for people. Obviously that will be dysgenic, but what can you do? We'll probably see sterilization be an option, as in if you want access to UBI you have to be sterilized.
