What's the point of crypto if the returns don't beat the stock market? I gained 0.6% today in my safe bluechip boomer investing account. The only crypto that beat that today was dogecoin (lmao).

all crypto is less than 300B marketcap. Dotcom bubble was in the trillions with a more reasonable monetary policy and blockchain is more valuable. I believe that bitcoin and a few select others will see massive gains, yes, in the way that google/amzn and others survived dotcom and grew into themselves

btc was worth about $0.0007 in early 2010 which was about the mining cost, when mtgox announced trading for btc in the summer the average price x100 to 0.06 in weeks
If you were mining or bought btc back at those prices and held for just 7 years you would 30 000 000x your investment, hell if you sold in 2013 for 1k you still make over 1 000 000x your investment in 3 years

I don't think anything come close to btc return with such a short time frame
