After two weeks the only negative thing I can report is that your sleeping schedule will be a total mess if you're a fkin european.
Thanks for showing me the way biz, this project actually has the potential to reach billions while not being dragged around by BTC's volatility rollercoaster. It has been christmas every day so far for me. Thank you.

For new recruits, DYOR. It will strengthen your hodl.

Look what happened to AMPL when BTC nosedived on 12th March. That was when it had zero interest/volume. Next time Bitcoin makes a move, this thing is gonna tank hard.

Oppisite will happen. Its designed to not give a single fuck about bitcoin. The only thing that affects it is its marketcap and guess where people will start going to when bitcoin is volatile? it wont be thether anymore.

>> No.20442923

Guys, help me out with this thing.

I understand AMPLs are rebased on price everyday. What I don't get is what's the usefulness of it.

Why would it matter if I have 1 AMPL at $2 or 2 AMPL at $1? It's the same amount of product if you measure it in USD or BTC so why should anyone care?

I like the project so far but I'm having trouble wrapping my head about why would it become a billions market cap coin.

>> No.20442997

>>20442736
It's designed to but it didn't work in the past and it won't work in the future. Simple economics it still needs new money to pump

>> No.20443062

>>20442923
As of right now it's a speculative asset finding it's supply and marketcap by discovery of demand.

In the later stages (10B+?) it would take so much money to move it from 1 to 1.10 for example, that the protocol would increase it's supply because there is a lot of demand for it. It's not pegged to anything. That's why the plan is a 'stablecoin' in the future, because no rebase happens between 0.96 and 1.06.

If you're wondering how to profit from it, 1000 AMPL that you pay 4k USD now could very well be 100.000k AMPL at 1$ in the billions of mcap, so there's that. Anything can still happen though.

as this anon pointed out, the usefulness of it is that it goes up in price. the price is sustained by an unlimited number of new buyers and then it will level off in the billions when thousands of holders are content to keep their money in something that no longer appreciates. makes perfect sense, right?

Because that's how it always goes? Early investors take profit, the completed product (high B marketcap, stable price) will be its usecase and no longer used for profit. Are you that dumb?

You won't invest in AMPL at 10B to make profit out of it, but for collaterals, lends, or something unrelated to crypto swings. That's the big plan down the road. Just like you tether today.

mcap is slightly lower than 200M atm. after having done your own research, do you see ampl being used in crypto? will it get the traction needed to overcrown shitcoins and stablecoins in its 3rd phase? will it be integrated into defi platforms?

If the answer is yes to those, and you believe this deserves a higher mcap because of demand, you're early. For sure there's still gains (and losses) to be made.

Because to create the initial liquidity necessary within an exchange requires the exchange to purchase alot of said token either on the open market or from the development team itself. The tokens owned by the team, the project, and the VC are all frozen atm, so there's not a particularly great way to obtain the necessary liquidity. Additionally, the team is actively shilling the uniswap hodl strategy.

>> No.20445420

>>20444937
Probably because exchanges need to actually implement the protocol. I know that Kucoin and bitfinex give you the rebase but there's another exchange where you can trade AMPL but get no rebase whatsoever, so that's a reason why maybe?

Being a poofag having hundreds of amples delivered to your wallet every day is just mental.
And i am looking at a price of 1USD per ampl here.

WTF just today alone I got 800 extra dolllars or amples or whatever you wanna call it. The price being actually higher is just a superficial extra.
It would have to stay at 0 usd for multiple days to get back to my initial amount. This is truely magnificant.
