I'm planning on loading up soon.
Will buy a few thousand tomorrow, and then fully load up on more the 1st of Aug.
Have had my eye on this for a while, just waiting for trigger price.
If it hits 5 by end of August, I will most likely sell half my ETH and move it over to RLC.
That is my second trigger price.

Can someone explain to me what the primary price driver is? I understand RLC will be the primary currency for ordering computing resources, but I'm not sure how this makes a 4 digit token.

The team did a whole research paper on the tokenomics. You can find it through Google. The token is staked as well as held as an appreciating asset that is able to be traded for computations and data. All 4 of those details, when iExec is adopted to any degree, will cause a massive price increase.

>> No.20421920

>>20421747
Yeah once there is any sign of real adoption which is probably soon this thing is going to multiply like no other crypto you have ever seen since Bitcoin.

Sounds crazy but just look into it and realize a limited resource combined with a world computer is recipe for something amazing.

We are all going to make it.

Thanks for the tip boys, I read it.

>Currently, the stake locked up during each contribution is equal to 30% of the computing cost (or worker’s reward for the task). That sets the minimum stake amount a worker should have. But if he wants to be able to cope with computation spikes, churn rate, payment lockups, there is a high level of chance that he decides to adopt a much higher stake. All in all, we estimate that this will represent around 5% of the total supply.

Help me hash this out. In regards to staking and crypto, there's usually a fee associated with the stake. It doesn't sound like there is with iexec. It sounds like their argument is the staking acts purely as a security deposit, nevertheless it takes it out of circulating supply, but that staking alone in conjunction with the small supply means the price will have to be super high. Did I understand this correctly?

Kind of.

Easy mode: RLC = work force on the cloud marketplace.

You can be a slaveowner of the future for cheap.

>> No.20422146

>>20422056
Yes. Essentially but you are missing some details. Sometimes computations will act for a very long time locking up that RLC for a very long time.

Also imagine millions or billions of computers staking RLC. Supply is already low.

The more RLC you stake the higher tier computations you can perform too.

This doesn't account for the potential of a resource war taking place on iExec where everyone wants to hold it since it's a limited computing resource.

It's not if at this point it's when.. Bitcoin was obvious, but we were just unaware. ETH was obvious, but we were blinded by shitcoins and Bitcoin, RLC is obvious too all things considered and personally I'm not taking the risk when the digital future decides it likes the idea of a world computer
