Get a coinbase and binance account. Coinbase lets you put your cash directly in but doesn’t have that many coins, binance has a lot more coins but only has trading pairs, you can’t buy directly with cash

Just transfer money into coinbase pro. Luckily coinbase pro has LiNK as one of their few coins so you don’t have to deal with binance at all. Just put $ into CBP then when it arrives, buy LiNk

-Should I get a physical wallet?

If you want to. It’s more secure but you also won’t be able to trade quickly if a major dump happens. Unless you have an insane amount of money in crypto, just keep it on the exchange I’d say

If you're in the states just sign up for binance US. Instant deposits (up to $1k), less trading fees than cuckbase.
If you want random shitcoins that aren't on big exchanges, but ETH on binance and trade it on uniswap.

You're still "early" for link but don't feel bad that you have significantly lower stacks than the anons here. We bought in at the very bottom, roughly ~50x lower than current price.
