How do I take my Linkchain off the blockchain?

I don’t trust myself with this, I want to store it completely offline not on the blockchain. I was thinking of getting a ledger but I read that they don’t actually store the cryptocurrency, just the private key. Are there any good totally cold wallets that store the cryptocurrency completely offline/not on blockchain?
