Guys I know that this is long, but I have no irl friends to ask for advice.
do you think that a bachelor degree in economic with a specialisation in data-science would be worth it?
I was thinking that maybe it could allow me to get a higher salary from a government's job. While still helping me learn tricks to automate my stock research.

The problem is that the only university that offer this, is in a big expensive city far from home. Also the classe's exams are a lot harder than at my home state's university.

I could also save a lot of money and studying times if I went to my local public university, while living at home and still be able to lend a good gov job, and be able to learn usefull trading stuff on my own. but the thing is that I went to a student party at that university and got sexually assaulted while I was drunk, by a giant foreign student and after he was done he threatned to dislocate my shoulder and break my fingers if I didn't say my name and "confess" to be a rapist while his gf was recording the audio. He then told me that If I ever approached a female student from his country or if I tried to file a complaint, he would share that audio with my pic online and since I live in a small town, everyone would forever have suspicion about me. I tried to tell the security guards afterward, but they told me I was drunk and to go home, otherwise they would call the police because I apparently tried to steal a bunch of pool balls and did not remember having them. I'm afraid to call the police, because I'm one of the local drunk and have had problems before, where they didn't take me seriously.
