Why is this entire board obsessed with getting rich fast?

I feel like the only one here that wants to take the slow and safe path of investing over a lifetime in reliable common stocks and index funds. All of this uproar over crypto and oracles doesn't feel like sound investing. It just feels like rampant speculation, and that never works out well.

Why not just focus on having a job that you kinda like or at least content with showing up to everyday. After you manage that, then investing comes second with a long term plan. Hyper optimism has never worked well in the past, and usually leads to financial destruction.

thats because most these faggots make no income and need 1000x to make anything noteworthy. how else could they do it? wagies on the other hand, if smart about their finances, can parlay just a few years of aggressive savings into a sizable portfolio that can easily grow to retirement amounts decades before they hit the normally accepted retirement age. one side requires extreme lottery luck while the other has an almost laughably high chance of success.
