what the FUCK is up with Tesla? a year ago their stock was still at 200. their market cap now is 300 billion for a revenue of 25 billion while for example Ford has a market cap of 25 billion and a revenue of 156 billion

that other piece of vaporware shit, Nikola or w/e, has a higher mkt cap then Ford. Either the world is full of tards, or Ford is not much longer for it

Speculation isn't about present figures, it's about potential.

>>20375732
lmao, and Ford isn't subsidized?
Just an example: https://www.thebalance.com/auto-industry-bailout-gm-ford-chrysler-3305670

Tesla is a cover by alphabet groups to release DARPA tech to the public. It's not a bubble, although speculation is driving it even higher. Number go up, won't go down.

>> No.20375860

Stupid people value Tesla as a technology company instead of a car manufacturer and some day they will realize that Tesla makes cars and that's it, no fancy phones or pcs. A car that moves from point A to B and is electrical. It's not like they will magically make much more profits than existing competitors like Ford lol. Btw their competition is eating their market share in some countries and have been successful in important advances (Nio's battery swap for example)

Of course its subsidised. That's the point, it's all subsidised. Fed prints money, line goes up. Infinite buy wall ftw.

Yet not all stock are doing what Tesla's doing.

yeah no shit. but even at continued extreme growth, which is not certain at all, it would take more than 10 years to justify the current cap. at the moment Tesla stock is like crypto, just a gamble for quick buck. do I believe Elon has the skill to make Tesla big in the future? absolutely. Tesla's value also comes from the expectation that it will become a big tech company that will branch out. I am not sure. Elon has been the kind of person to make new companies for different branches.

then there's the issue that Elon isn't majority owner of Tesla so technically he doesn't have control over it anymore. the chance is low but there could always be a repeat of Paypal where the others kick him out because he's too problematic, calling out journalists and communism on his Twitter. and Tesla's future completely depends on Elon

maybe the fed just goes around slaughtering large short positions so everyone understands that traditional price finding is not allowed and all stocks must just go up which results in weird things like what just happened to tsla because shorts all have to run for the exits while volume is low

Ya, maybe that happened, or some other random headcanon.

chance is not actually that minor.
the suits are going to way up the value of having a loose-mouth stoner long and hard, before they hand him, personally, over $55b of 'their' cash

tihnk of the message it sends as a way to permanently juice the market without being too heavyhanded about it
it reduces short positions across the board by making all of them dramatically riskier

if everyone is thinking the same thing, what does that tell you?

that stocks are overbought.

1. fundamentals don't mean much at the moment. stocks are in a blind mania
2. even if they did, it's all about hypeability. ford is legacy. tesla is possibly a couple years away from completely flipping the auto industry on its head. much more easy to hype. meme stock with musk so fun to be a part of / identify as.

solar and battery tech will be absolutely fucking massive though
I don't think the board would be dumb enough to kick him out either, their stock would absolutely tank if he left
