Can't you see? The government is going to shut it all down. You get too big, the banks start to notice, and BOOM! no more bitcoins

Then Bitcoin gets more valuable due to a lack of supply moving about. It cannot be government regulated, because each time a government "attempts" to regulate it, it costs that government money, whereby that money goes directly/indirectly right into Bitcoin cost-per-bitcoin/profits.

We're going to be ok.

You really believe that if banking institutions see themselves getting put by the wayside they'll sit back and let it happen?

Dark money? I had to send more forms ID's, pictures of my self, tax papers, bank statements to be able to buy bitcoins than I had to do to open a bank account.

So what? you have to show a driver's license to get into a pot shop in Colorado but that doesn't mean you're not breaking Federal law and they can't bust your ass.

What can they do specifically to stop it? Lobby for regulations? Sabotage ETF attempts?

It's made it this far anyways. What more can they do?

"Don't put your money into the cryptocurrency market because the government will somehow shut down a entire distributed network.
It's safer to invest your money where normies do"

For the government to even attempt to shutdown the cryptocurency market they first will first have to publicly recognize it.

Can you imagine normies knowing about a new monetary system where you don't have to pay to a bank a fee for every time you use your money?

I know there's a whole NSA meme going on but it's impossible for them to block the whole cryptocurrency network.
