I just started lurking /biz a week ago. 4chan is a degenerate place and I didn't visit it in a long time. First thing I saw on biz was bunch of posts about Link and XSN. I decided to buy both of them, Link was at $4. I bought about €130 worth of Link and €130 worth of XSN. But then I realized XSN is being shilled, something was off about these posts. So I sold it all for Link. Now I have about €335 worth in Link. Biz is already paying off. I would buy more if I hade more money, but I have to wait until my paycheck comes, I am poor. Biz is the best board if you know which posts are made by intelligent people and which posts are made by redditors, shills and long nose tribe. I'm self a dumbfuck, but I have a talent in knowing what IQ hides behinds the posts.

They are telling you to buy more link and hold it. Do it.

Actually, there's gonna be a decent dump once it hits the $14-18 range in about a month or two. That is the best time to get out and then reinvest it when it drops to $7-8 by Nov/Dec. After that, pump as much as you can into it because by Feb 2021, the train will have no brakes.

This. 4chan has many boards that are degenerate garbage, meme spamming autists, tripfag and namefag circlejerk generals and glowie slide threads. But, 4chan is also one of the only places on the internet where you can find real discussion without fear of IRL doxxing, and this because everyone posts anonymously. Ergo, people say what they mean without fear of reprisals. The moderation is bad, but it's better than Reddit, that heavily filters what can and cannot be said and which ideas are "good" and which ideas are "bad". It is largely done without the express need of mods thanks to the voting system that posts have. For practical purposes (such as learning to build something in sequence), I can see this system having some use. For all other discussions, it is counter-productive to actual knowledge and truth due to this natural filtration system, where the most upvoted post is treated as gospel, even if it's demonstrably wrong. This is a highly effective method of social conditioning through consensus thought. "If EVERYONE agrees on it, surely it MUST be true!" cries the Redditor.

Ultimately, 4chan is also not immune to this kind of conditioning, but it is highly resistant to it. Even clear troll or bait posts are sometimes given some leeway in order to discuss why they're wrong, or in rare instances may even change one's mind about a subject or topic they thought they knew; or, at the very least, get them to THINK. One anonymous person can change the perspective of another anonymous person, be it through memes or a seemingly ridiculous (at first) assertion, which if 4chan followed the Reddit format, would be lost in the mob of popular consensus, downvoted to oblivion. It's for that reason that I still browse 4chan even after 10 years. For all the ocean of piss that this site is, there are precious kernels of truth that have improved me as a person, but you do have to sift through a lot of bullshit to get to it. Also, the memes are funny.
