If someone is a coder and wants free money do this.....
Using REN, cobble together an all-in-one-step page that converts BTC->renBTC->AMPL/ETH->Geyser (and back again).
This will entice btc whales to park btc into the geyser and pump bags for the next few B. You could earn yourself massive fees as well charging $1 per transaction

>> No.20287699

so how do i benefit from rebase? can i keep it in a metamask or do i have to connect to the gayser or smth?

>> No.20287717

>>20287699
just wait til 10pm, yes metamask works, geyser is bad for you

check out wbtc.cafe and curve.fi for examples of people trying to do simplified btc -> some other crypto processes.
I would start with the docs on REN project. Unironically their docs are straight forward and you get a good sense of how to turn BTC->renBTC.
I would be willing to lend material support to such a venture (ie register domain / host domain / etc).
there would be thousands of potential transactions per day going back and forth. we could make more doing this than holding ampl.

>> No.20288833

so...how the fuck do I pay taxes on this? The rebases just make coins magically appear, the transaction amounts aren't gonna match

Funds don't compound in the geyser? And with 1/2 your ETH tied up there is opportunity lost?

>a 1.25x price change results in a 0.6% loss relative to HODL
>a 2x price change results in a 5.7% loss relative to HODL
>a 5x price change results in a 25.5% loss relative to HODL

What is the incentive then? What's the best case scenario for liquidity providers?

>what is incentive
two-fold:
* to provide a floor. yes your gains are cut compared to raw holding, but so are your losses
* you continue to earn positive ampl handouts even if dips below .95

most anons dont have the iq to understand how to play this: its 50% in geyser / 50% out. and once goes back to $1.2 put all in geyser

>> No.20291171

>>20291026
>>20290989
I know how to make more money with the geyser but it will be bad for AMPL if everyone does it so unfortunately I have to keep it to myself as I keep gaming it. There is a way though if you can figure it out.
