With this big update, we transition to the next phase of DFOhub, from BUIDL V1 to BUIDL V2.
This token swap starts in just under 8 hours, and is incentivized. You could end up with 30% more BUIDL.

>Why is there an incentivized token swap?

To unlock the full potential of DFOs, and to add an extra layer of security to future upgrades. The DFO core has been upgraded to treat BUIDL as a microservice independent of the DFO. This means token holders can always use the governance token to vote for new upgrades, even if for some reason a buggy/broken update was approved for another microservice on the DFO. Token holders can now always vote to fix it. This is important for DeFi dApps; it protects against possible attack vectors.
This is the only BUIDL token swap that will ever occur.

When the countdown ends, switch.dfohub.com will activate. Specific instructions on how to swap will be there there. It will be a simple process.

>How do I profit from this?

By swapping EARLY. The devs are offering incentives to encourage you. Swap in the first 24 hours, and you’ll come out the other side with 30% more BUIDL. For 48 hours after that, 20% more. And for the five days after that, 10% more. Then it’s a 1:1 swap for 45 days.
For example, if you swap 1000 BUIDL V1, you’ll receive 1300 BUIDL V2.
They are rewarding engaged holders. You can read all about it in the news update.

Yes, but not by much, and it depends on how many people actually switch / how early they do so.
The max the new circulating supply will increase to from what it is now —about 2.2m— is 2.8m. The max the total supply will increase to from what it is now —42m— is 42.6m (all locked tokens are only swapping at 1:1). But not everyone will make the switch during the first few days, and I expect we’ll see a new total supply of only around 42.3m and a new circulating supply of only around 2.5m.
So BUIDL V2’s MC will be roughly equivalent to BUIDL V1’s. That is, if BUIDL’s price stays the same. Given the incentives, I wouldn’t count on it staying below $1 for very long.
Swap early, and you’ll have 30% more BUIDL. Relative to these other changes, this is huge.

You are going to be rewarded for staking your BUIDL V2 to provide liquidity on Uniswap.
There will be four tiers, with progressively higher rewards:

Stake for 1 month at a ratio of 1 : 0.01 BUIDL.
Stake for 3 months at a ratio of 1 : 0.05 BUIDL.
Stake for 6 months at a ratio of 1 : 0.2 BUIDL.
And stake for 1 year at a ratio of 1 : 0.5 BUIDL.

Not only will you receive a BUIDL bonus at the end of your chosen staking period, you’ll also earn a % of Uniswap trading fees.

They have improved the Inflation Strategy for $BUIDL & $ARTE. Instead of large, weekly inflation events, they will be small and daily. The same total amount of both will be inflated over the same period, but split across more events, so they don’t cause a dip in the markets.

>What about Uniswap V2 Integration?

Uniswap V2 integration is finalised, and will be implemented next week. When that happens, DFOs will be able to manage liquidity pools, their fair inflation mechanisms and staking rewards by voting.
They will also be able to conduct Initial Dex Offerings (IDOs), something we have never seen before on Uniswap, and which has the potential to permanently improve Uniswap’s ecosystem.
This is also true of the upcoming ‘Auto-List’ feature. You will be able to directly trade a DFO’s tokens on Uniswap via the DFOhub GUI, so you know you’re trading the real thing and not a scam.
These things will help kick off DFO adoption.
