everything you can get your hands on.
you'd be best to understand what smart contracts are and how they can increase profit margins for global industries. most things in crypto that aren't either Smart Contracts or DeFi are an absolute meme.
dont underestimate this step, really truly understand what benefits smart contracts bring and how much of a labor force can be eliminated through implementation of them, thereby increasing profit margins.

If youre new to trading, understand how exchanges work in general. It seems really easy, and it is, but it can be overwhelming at first due to really complicated user interfaces.
Final and greatest tip: do not underestimate this shit. Seriously. Blockchain technology has the potential to bring the fourth industrial revolution. There will be a LOT of losing cryptocurrencies, literally going to $0 value.
There will be very few winners. But those winners will have face-melting ROI. I'm talking turning $1000 into $1,000,000. This technology will be shaving billions off overhead costs in every single indusry.

Don't sell it for a measly $10,000 profit in 6 months. You will hate yourself for the rest of your life.

In general, yes /biz/ is consensus on everything i have stated. There are obviously plenty of stock market boomers on biz that have never touched crypto and never will, they dont want to take the time to understand. They still think anyone cares about Bitcoin, when nobody does anymore.
If you go to other places, especially twitter or leddit, you will encounter serious misinformation from /biz/ anons who are trying to keep people out. Just be wary of everything you read and make sure to do your own research and form your own opinions first.

Read whitepapers of any project you consider buying into. They are a shining source of truth in a sea of misinformation.
