ETH should start from scratch and do scientific research.
Like Cardano did.
Pays out on the long run like everybody can see today.

To be fair - ETH was first mover with smart contracts and of course it can't be perfect.

And what they are doing now is a mess.
Instead of competing with Cardano they should colaborate.

I only hope their proud will not kill them.

Pretty funny that my pathetic 5 ETH stack will buy me a house in a few months

>> No.20172546

I’m still holding from May 2019. I’m staying the course, but I’m considering switching 20% of my stack to Augur and maybe Cardano. ETH tokens have all done well, but Augur has been in an accumulation phase for years

People have been calling ETH crypto-oil for years.
>run by a cartel
>acts as a resource to run other machines which run the world
It makes sense to me that it's price behavior is odd.

Currently held back by an inability to handle the massive influx of activity, leading to asinine gas fees. Issues with wasted storage, etc.
But even in it's broken, unreliable current state, ETH is still where everything is being developed. The significant success of ERC20 tokens (you guys love your LINK, right?), stablecoins, and even DeFi shouldn't be understated.
If ETH2.0 actually delivers the kind of tx/sec boost Vitalik is talking about, and irons out a few other kinks, it's game over; ETH wins - becoming the global backbone of Web4.
ADA/other direct competitors will have to play sidekick, because ETH is too far entrenched, established, and trusted to be displaced - barring some big failure with ETH2.0, in which case it might be anyone's ball.

ETH price going up right now might actually be a bad thing. Gas costs would seem even more absurd than they already are and people might get pissed. Perhaps they should temporarily crash it for their own good.

>> No.20176377

If you're bullish on Eth and you're equally bullish on whatever coin to provide liquidity for then it's a great deal.
I own like 3% of the liquidity of a commonly shilled coin on biz and earn maybe between 12-30 dollars in fees per day. The risk is that that coin abolutely moons and leaves Eth in the dust forever, then you miss out on not having been 100% invested in that. But passive yield from fees is nice. Give it a try for a few days and keep track of the yields on https://1inch.exchange/#/earn..
