Robinhood graphs are shit and only show you an average, not true real-time prices. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform.

Real brokers, like TDAmeritrade's thinkorswim. Otherwise you should be using tradingview.com, stockcharts.com, finviz.com, or a non-pile-of-shit for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.

The OP picture here is quite inappropriate. Trading stocks is quite eventful and unpredictable compared to one of the dullest franchises in the history of movie franchises. Seriously, each episode following the boy wizard and his pals from Hogwarts Academy as they fight assorted villains has been indistinguishable from the others. Aside from the gloomy imagery, the series’ only consistency has been its lack of excitement and ineffective use of special effects, all to make magic unmagical, to make action seem inert.

Perhaps the die was cast when Rowling vetoed the idea of Spielberg directing the series; she made sure the series would never be mistaken for a work of art that meant anything to anybody?just ridiculously profitable cross-promotion for her books. The Harry Potter series might be anti-Christian (or not), but it’s certainly the anti-James Bond series in its refusal of wonder, beauty and excitement. No one wants to face that fact. Now, thankfully, they no longer have to.

The writing is dreadful; the book was terrible. As I read, I noticed that every time a character went for a walk, the author wrote instead that the character "stretched his legs."

I began marking on the back of an envelope every time that phrase was repeated. I stopped only after I had marked the envelope several dozen times. I was incredulous. Rowling's mind is so governed by cliches and dead metaphors that she has no other style of writing. Later I read a lavish, loving review of Harry Potter by the same Stephen King. He wrote something to the effect of, "If these kids are reading Harry Potter at 11 or 12, then when they get older they will go on to read Stephen King." And he was quite right. He was not being ironic. When you read "Harry Potter" you are, in fact, trained to read Stephen King.

Speaking of earnings, why do some companies shit the bed even when the earnings are better than expected? I don't get it

I'm salty about how I had tons of money in SANM and the actual EPS of $0.76 beat the expected of $0.70. Despite having better than expected earnings, it tanked 7%. Same shit happened to my NVDA a few months ago. That should be a sign of a good company.

as far as i can tell, every pick on your list is something you buy a bit of when ever you see a down day, and load up when there's blood on the streets. then forget about it, unless you get lucky in a trade and can take profits sooner than later, with the expectation you will get back in quickly but at a lower price, you're not doing it wrong until you sell at the bottom...if you're scared, then you need to get your emotions under control. Once you are clear and level headed, then make a choice., Do it for each individual stock and be rational first. Take amd for example, if it bounced back up closer to my cost, I would probably take a small loss at this point and then wait a few weeks to see how it moves before getting back in. Otherwise, nothing changes my inital impression of the company, even if im down 20% or more, consider averaging down. If you dont have the cash to do that, then you made a mistake in your general investing ways and should remedy that shortsighted error
