Not complete bullshit but better than zero. Similar to blackjack. If you can read the patterns you increase your odds incrementally.

This, I made 100% last month but I use forex for gambling rather than slow and steady gains. I have a good paying job so I don't mind losing the money

>> No.20090534

It is true. TA does not work. It has no value whatsoever. Not even a little bit. It was invented by the forex/spreadbetting industry to get people to "day trade" with them.

>> No.20090718

I feel like it can work till it doesn’t. So yeah it’s BS , the past chart has nothing to do with what a company will do in the future

>> No.20090742

It can be good to look at and consider with other information. Like barring any extreme news coming out of a company, I'd look at TA, volume, trends and get a general feel for peoples interest in it and decide from there.

This. The only thing TA can tell you is the current sentiment in the short term. Anything beyond that is astrology tier bullshit where some faggot thinks he can see into the distant future if he draws a line on a chart.
How many posts have we seen on here which were completely wrong? Far, far more than the ones which were correct - and even then they were only correct in the short term. You never hear about them again though. I can't ever recall any TA pseuds posting a history of consistently successful trades, or coming back to own up to the dozens of shitty charts that they post on here each week. They just pretend it never happened and post their next completely wrong prediction with the same air of smugness as a bedwetting retard who is proud of the stains on their mattress.

It's not bullshit, but it's not a golden ticket to never lose a trade either. You're not meant to rely on it working every single time. Use it to minimise your risk and get better entries.

price action is more relevant for daytrading imo. although there is some efficacy in ta for swing traders
