He's saying the silver:gold price ratio is out of whack. The silver side is WAY bigger than it should be. If you collect silver now you stand to gain more than with gold because the correction will inflate the price of your silver against gold.

Play the ratio. Buy silver. When the ratio corrects, trade up for gold.

I never really comment about it, but personally I don't really see why the ratio should correct when money is digital.

Silver as a gold substitute for day-to-day coinage made sense in ye olden days and so a fixed value exchange also made sense. In the credit card era it doesn't seem necessary for silver to be monetized as a secondary backing commodity, hence the ratio seems like a thing of the past.

Not saying silver won't go up, I would bet that it does, but to those betting the farm on it I would politely suggest you diversify at least 50%. Just IMO.

I'm confident up to 250yds. After that I give 'em a 50/50 chance. I need to join a club that has a range longer than 250yds. “The year 2020 – The year all of China will weep. The omens will be so bad that the New Year will not be celebrated. Then the plague will come. It will come with a fury – the tigers and the wolves will hide in the mountains. The plague will encompass all the land – and will eventually spread to the whole world. Very soon – rice will become so expensive that no one can eat. Then the rivers will sink all the boats. People in that year will only be able to harvest rice in the very early spring. There will be no harvest of late season rice, beans, wheat, and oats because vast clouds of locusts will lay waste to the entire countryside. I, Gentleman Zigong, assure you Chinese in 2020 that the locusts will fall from the skies and the destruction will be complete. Smoke and fire will fill the fields – but nothing will be able to stop the swarms. Once the locusts have destroyed the land and the smoke is still coming from the ground, the rivers will flood the countryside. I, Gentleman Zigong, will tell you Chinese in 2020 how to survive. Remain very close to your families and your neighbors. The best is to have stored up plenty of gold and food to live and share freely with those you love. Tolerate no thieves among the people. Be uniters and not dividers. If you can do all these things, you will survive.”

You bring up a good point.

However, I don't think people can currently conceive anything other than fractional reserve banking, even if the financial system collapsed. In that scenario non 100% bank deposits would still be sus and people would still want smaller value currencies for daily purchases/emergencies. Obviously gold will drag up the price of silver more than it does other commodities, but I think you're right about not making too big of bets on the ratio alone.

I realized this too and now that I have about 130 toz of silver stacked all my physical buys for a while are gonna be gold.

hello frens, I'm trying to learn, and I won't lie, I'm a bit of brainlet. So I'm wondering as I look through the sites, and I see the price of silver, for example, is $18.15/oz, and a 1oz coin is about $21-23. Is the increase in price the cost of casting a coin? Or is it a profit margin for the websites? Also Should purchases ever be done with cc/paypal? Wiring seems pretty expensive if you're only buying a small amount

it's a silver tael. Originally, when barter was still the norm in China, the most sought after items were metallic farming tools, since 95% of the population were farmers. Early money was simply to forge a lot of farming tools, and over time it started to be smaller and smaller and using more precious metals. A tael was originally bigger, not really this shape and was a kind of plough used to turn over the soil.

It's slow as shit because the bank takes time to send it (5 business days for mine) then the dealer has to deposit and let the check clear (3-5 business day) then they have to ship your stuff (2-5 business days). Unless there's some impending doom reason to hurry the process I see no reason to pay extra just to get your stuff faster.

Does anyone else find it peculiar how cheap silver is now? Of course you can be cynical and perhaps correctly so and say that silver is less valued than it used to be, yet I still can’t get over the fact that a trifling 1oz coin is only slightly heavier than the old silver crowns that were once the most valuable of all silver coins minted in England, representing 1/4 of a pound sterling, a lot of money in those days.

Guys a few days ago I was talking about Chinas strange silver measuring system they've put in place.

I was unable to articulate any well rounded sentence to convey my point.

However I did say that if we see any kind of strange logistics activity within 2 weeks of discussing the silver leasuements than something is up & smuggling would be hitting the U.S.

Guess what? Here it is. This is what I was talking about.

I think this will lead to further scandals coming from China but now relating to the electronic & technology industry.

I think mainframes are going to be directly tied to this somehow with both the gold & strange new Chinese silver increment.

Watch out.
Tech break up is going to reveal actuall treason & possibly treason prosecution under the trunp administration.

Side note: Last unofficial thread was not linked in the OP. Grab silver & gold now because they're going for the digital currency now to take over you in every aspect.

Btw, speaking about Asian measuring system, i'll once again do my history frog, but 'yuan' (chi), 'won' (kor), 'yen' (jap) all have the same root and mean the same word : round. It come from the fact that when the portugueses opened the silk maritime roads they imposed the 1oz silver real as standard for international trades in their trading posts. But back then, none of the asians countries used rounds as money, cf my post here >>20083670 ; so they were kinda surprised, and called it yuan money : round money. The real silver standard even became the standard for inter-asians trades because it was really easy, until the chinks started to cheat and add copper in their coins, until it was only 40% pure silver kek, so at one point the koreans, viets and japs refused to trade with the chinese yuan.
Chinks truly are the jews of Asia.

https://www.bankonyourself.com/is-the-u-s-headed-towards-financial-doomsday.html

Article from April 12, 2011. It's interesting to read through it and see what they were saying about precious metals back then, and in the short term they were right to some degree, but holy shit some of what they said in there is hard to read without cringing a little, I guess hindsight is 20/20

>The frequency with which we’ve been receiving these questions seems to be picking up recently. And I believe the reason for that is the endless parade of financial advice-givers who are all too happy to take your U.S. dollars to tell you why those dollars will be worthless… and why our economy is on an unavoidable collision course with destruction.

These merchants of gloom and doom appear to have one goal in common: To so paralyze you with fear that you let them do your thinking for you as you rush to take their advice.
I mean, I understand why normies think this, but I would say to some degree that stacking is the opposite of being completely negative about where we think the world is going, in some ways its a yearning to go back to a time where money was money, and in that way we're just people who want to keep what we've earned, and that's what we're doing by stacking. They talk in this article as if things can continue to function the way they have been for the rest of eternity and I just don't get how they can convince themselves of that when inflation and interest rates eat away at our wealth year after year, I wonder if the writer of this article still holds these views even now

the official exchange rate is about 202,000 bolivars for 1 USD

which comes out to 3,636,000 for $18 (1 oz silver)

so silver kept its value in venezuela because the USD is still valuable

I think the measurements of silver & gold will have been found to throw of the total shipment weights that are paired with tech supplies. The tech supplies weight will be off/inaccurate with embedded chips smuggled into the U.S. if there was copper in the gold than this method may have been used. You pair inaccurate wight measurments with other materials in "split container" units. Half can be gold or silver among another commodity listed on the paperwork. Essentially measurments & weights are masking hidden cargo.

I honestly can't say anything else.
I'm just seeing things I cannot get into detail with. Getting into too risky talk.

the reason he was saying 'why bother with silver' wasnt because he was bearish on it, muh new paradigm etc. He was saying why bother with only 70 oz of silver (~$1,260) while simultaneously having a comparably huge amount of gold in terms of value (25 oz = $45,000).

They essentially agree, so thats why its confusing to see them debating.

Korea's getting like 50 new cases everyday. The initial confident atmosphere changed to a general "our economy is fucked" fear. Korea's economy is mostly exports so if other countries shut down and stop spending it's over for Korea.

In addition, Korea's economy was by far the weakest in OECD even before the pandemic due to increasing high tech competition from China and a whole flood of pro unskilled laborer laws that basically makes it impossible to make money from opening businesses. Also the politics are tearing that country apart. SOciety is breaking apart into two radical irreconcilable camps: Far right "pro Japan insects" vs Far left "Commie red infiltrators." If you think pro/anti Trump politics is ugly, wait til you watch literal fist fighting between congressmen in Korea. Plus fighting with crowbars and bats.

Your America and Korea accounts are whole different accounts with no traces of each other. There is no communication. Plat is strange because it doesn't have a history as a monetary metal, despite being rarer than gold. Its extraordinarily useful as a catalyst, a high-temp metal, and a medical implant alloy. If the stock market has another correction, I expect there to be forced liquidation of assets like in Feb-March, and that forced selling to drive down Silver and Gold in a rush for USD.

If/when that happens, what's the best way to get some silver at closest to spot price for that brief selloff?

March might have been all that was needed for a primer.

What is that just a pamphlet explaining new security features? Are you korean or did you just buy some gook fiat once and now they're trying to shill it to you?

On a side note korean gold is quite pretty although desu I'm just glad to have something without the queens face on it.

Nice looking round.

Well, as you can see it is a leaflet explaining the security features and design, while it also contains two 10,000 won notes inside.

Can private sellers really move the market that much?

a primer?

Maybe silver doesn't sell off, and that opportunity doesn't present itself. I'm not even confident that stocks will sell off, since everyone seems baffled and bearish voiced are so loud.

There will be other opportunities, and I don't need to prepare myself for the event that this opportunity doesn't occur.

Private sellers?
It was shadow banks and hedge funds, I believe. Whatever gold they had, in etfs or futures contracts or however else they held it, they sold as they got margin called on their heavily leveraged bullish positions, and were forced to free up USD to cover their positions.

So they sold whatever they could, which is why you saw commodities crash, and even the top quality stocks sell off with the trash.

buy gold chains (333/1000) gold maybe try to get a gold silver mixture (no copper). it's not the spot price but always mire worth than a shitty smartphone if you need to barter. it's line having parts of your wealth with you all the time (with high premium of cause but if your hyper inflation scenarios are possible you'll give a shit about a once paid premium when you barter with a fwtdhw).

what the fuck do you want in france? the frogs will probably experience more riots in the coming years than the rest of europe because of the chechen and middle east gangs there. the yellow west protests ended when the maghreb gangs showed up and startet looting and rioting.
