Is it too late to become a millionaire with ETH? Even if I spend something like $5000 I'd only have around 77 ETH

>> No.2002787

If ethereum reaches it potential and becomes web3.0 and replaces money transfer systems, then even one ETH will make you extremely well off

buy now you braindead negro, or regret it forever

ethereum = web 3.0 is just a meme.

be careful throwing money at something very close to an ATH like it is now. alts are in a huge bubble and everyone is waiting to see if bitcoin is capable of curbstomping the chinks or not before deciding what to do.

the same algorithm can be used to break Elliptic curves and diffie-hellman also

there are efforts in post-quantum cryptography and no one has created a qc yet. the big concern with this is mostly asymmetric cryptography.

It'll only be too late once it goes mainstream like Bitcoin did during the first bubble, which I think is going to happen very soon. I forgot which one, but there's some darknet site that's gonna adopt it within the next month, which is sure to raise the price by at least a little bit, but the really interesting thing is that the EEA just had a major presentation on it on the 26th (if I remember correctly) which caused the resent price hike. I don't think it'll stagnate like DASH either because the underlying technology is completely different from other cryptocurrencies.

Look at it this way: People were saying a week ago that it's too late to buy in at $50. Your $5,000 would have been $7,000 today if you bought a week ago when people were saying it's too late to make a profit from ETH.

no plan, depends on what the price does

if it double tops i'd sell everything and buy back lower because thats probably a great indication the alt bubble is done, if it keeps rising i'd probably keep holding because i dont need the money now.

$5K is like 3.5k Pivx.

Ethereum is safe but will give a "safe" margin of return, Pivx is a bit riskier than ETH but will give a far greater return (It will probably reach $8 each by the end of the year/half of 2017)

I am not even shilling, i am putting all i have into Pivx (I would like to put half my money in other coin "just in case", but i don't see any other coin worthy, maybe Posw, but it looks pretty risk)

I agree with your time table we have 5-10 years to make our money but that's not because the technology will be replaced its because block chain tech will be a normal part of everyday lives

This is simply a shift of an analog
to a digital one. MoIP or money over IP. Block chain tech will take fragmented databases and technology infrastructure and allow it to converge on a seemeless platform that provides numerous benefits vs TCP/IP internet technology.

NSA already has dibs on the first quantum computer. Random fact that has nothing to do with my point
