It’s not, the dynamic fees change hasn’t happened yet. Once it does, it will change the fees from being a fixed rate of OMG (.07 OMG per transaction) to 33% of ETH’s gas fees. 1. ETH 2.0 doesn’t make it obsolete. OMG Network is cheaper and faster than the ethereum main chain because it’s a child chain plasma solution. If and when ETH 2.0 is ever needed, the billions of transactions going through it will generate massive amounts of gas fees. Those fees will always be lower with OMG Network.

2. ETH 2.0 is a mess and will take years to develop anyway. That was before OMG Network went live and solved the congestion problem. Now there will be little appetite for ETH 2.0 as the network will no longer be congested.
