nah i couldn't do that to them, some people are telling me i might still be eligible though-- truthfully doubt it for willfully quitting

>>19960519
feels weird

>>19960533
i truthfully don't fucking know. it scares me a bit that I made the worst decision of my life but holy fuck... the unlimited potential of the future is fucking invigorating and exciting

>>19960547
honestly, no. it's a pretty conflicting feeling. when i was deciding the last 3 months, it kept my mind locked in a vice. the back and forth of weighting pros and cons made it almost impossible to think straight or breathe sometimes. so i'm glad i'm freed of that lock. but i feel empowered on one hand, and a loser on the other. also, excited and scared. all in all, it's a pretty big weight off my shoulders but the longer i go unemployed a new weight might emerge. but right now, i feel like I can do anything

damn sorry to hear that

I've got over two years banked up of living expensive for frugal but comfortable living. I still don't feel comfortable because I don't want to burn that capital, and I don't want it locked up as my safety net.

I quit my job first week of February, literally a month after coronavirus but 3 weeks before the media took it seriously. I doubt I could even get a job again, I worked in the service industry.

Thankfully I have some money, I could probably pay my rent for two years if I had to.

yeah i feel it, the fright and the freedom. i just don't know where to go from here. i have some ideas i suppose but i need to take massive action, now

>>19961342
that's what i'm leaving a serving job, it was a good paying job don't get me wrong but holy fuck the stress i started to feel suffocated by just broke me

>>19961407
i quit because i was the only employee to step up and help them throughout the pandemic. then when it was time for that SBA loan, the owner asked me three different times if i wanted my job back, seemingly unaware that i've been there helping out every day. they also gave me an ultimatum there and said-- either come back or you're done. i obviously came back, as i never left but then i found out they allowed the rest of my co-workers to keep their job, go on unemployment and that they'd be called upon to return when needed. and that never sat right with me. it felt very unjust to do that. give the only person willing to help out a 50% paycut through some bullshit loan, and reward those who said fuck off and wanted to return in july after the unemployment boost expired. then i had an issue which resulted in me getting screamed at by my boss all because i voiced concerns about this temporary salary, which caused me to lose a lot of respect for them. i never thought they would've treated me like that after 10 years of being there for them, especially during a time when they needed me the most. but after all of this, my mom ended up suffering a pretty major stroke, which caused me to take a really hard look at my life and where it was going. so for the last 3 weeks i felt like my mind was in a vice weighing all the pros and cons about what i should do, i really should've addressed these issues years ago but i was comfortable and the pay was good but i finally asked myself-- when i'm 80 years old, do i want to look back on my life and say i took a leap of faith or that i stayed comfortable and remained treated as I was? so i took a leap

>> No.19962659

>>19961407
also, no i have no other source of income at the moment. so it's do or die.

>>19961935
nice man, yeah i'm hoping something else better comes along

>>19961937
that's where my mind is ping ponging right now. exhilarated and frightened.
