Ive done some level of research and the likely candidate(s) are safe bets that would bring a simlar return just diversified in case one goes bankrupt or something.

Everyone thinks RTX sucks but you idiots don't understand the play. It's a two prong macro strategy, not a fucking shitcoin like Nikola or MVIS.

1. A major power war in 2020 is likely. A major power war in the 2020s is guaranteed, and probably early in the decade. Raytheon makes the bread and butter of the US Navy and Air Force. Tomahawks, Standards, Patriot, Sidewinders. These will fly literally by the million in WW3. Non-stop Arsenal of Democracy just churning the fuckers out, all the while paying royalties to Raytheon. And even without WW3, any US ally or customer that gets in a war pays you dividends. Saudi? Buys Patriots. Every NATO navy buys missiles from the US, and a lot buy radars too, made buy Raytheon. You're Nicolas fucking Cage holding RTX.
2. Air travel will return to normal within America because you've stopped giving a shit about coronavirus and in Europe/Asia because they actually controlled coronavirus. This will happen by 2021. Pratt and Collins are dead weight right now, but that means you're getting AAA-grade aerospace companies for a huge discount.

seriously tho go theta.
look at this shit.
someone will pay you almost $1300 to buy 100 shares of google at an almost 5% discount from their current price.
and that's only if it hits the strike.

and that's just google which i use as a bread and butter example as people would feel pretty comfortable getting assigned. reserving $140k for $1.3k in premium obviously doesn't sound that juicy, but that's just entry level. you can hunt for really good theta plays by shopping on the top10% lists for super inflated options due to higher volatility from their recent big moves (thus qualifying them for the top10% list).
anyway something to think about. selling options you're literally getting paid to buy low and getting paid to sell high (in the instance of covered calls)

World health organization, bill gates, are killing people to implement mandatory vaccines. They don’t want cheap Hydrochloroquine medicine:

Internationally in Solidarity trial COVID-19 patients are being administered with--800 mg x 2 loading doses 6 hours apart followed by 400 mg x 2 doses per day for 10 days. The total dosage given to a patient over 11 days is about 9600 mg which is four times higher than the dose we are giving to our patients," informed the official.

>I buy shares and then sell calls
that's half of it. but you actually start with what's called selling a "cash covered put" which is the same as a covered call but the other direction.
to cover a call, you have a 100 shares that you can sell at a certain strike.
to cover a put, you have the money reserved necessary to BUY 100 shares at a certain strike.

a call just gives someone the option to buy 100 shares at a certain price (strike price) on or before a certain date (expiration)

a put just gives someone the option to SELL 100 shares at a certain price on or before a certain date.

selling a put you're saying "i'll buy 100 shares of X from you at this price (the strike) on or before this date." so you can start by selling a cash covered put, and then the worst case scenario is you buy at your target price. then you have 100 shares. THEN you sell covered calls. then when those get called away you do it over again, selling a cash covered put to buy 100 shares at a lower price.

there's a bunch of videos on youtube that can help you out, it's really simple and nowhere near as complex as BUYING options.

You fucking donkey, if there's a real great power conflict, EVEN assuming no nukes come into play, all relevant hardware will be destroyed in a matter of weeks and, here's the crucial part, NOT rebuilt. This isn't fucking WW2 anymore where you need to put shit on a boat to get it across the Atlantic and nations can win based on the sheer might of their industry over time, anywhere in the world can be struck in under 24 hours with surgical precision which was NOT true before. The ONLY thing that matters is current inventory & trained personnel. RTX is a play on FEARS of a great power conflict, because nations need to build their [conventional] stockpiles in case everyone goes all in with non-nuclear weapons. If the hammer really drops, all RTX factories will be dust (along with hopefully all of Sukhoi/Chengdu/whatever factories, not that it will really matter) and your profits will be literally up in smoke.

With all of that said, RTX is still a respectable play due to heightened global tensions and BA's fuckups on the airliners side, but STOP CLAMORING FOR WAR YOU COMPLACENT FUCKS.

My point was, even without nukes, modern "conventional" weapons are no joke. Back in the day, you'd have to use some arcane optical bullshit & guesswork plus giant formations of bombers to even get within a city block of what you were aiming for, now you can easily strike exactly what you want with a single aircraft, drone, or just straight up cruise missile your target from hundreds of miles away. You can even make it look like it came from a different direction, see the Saudi Arabia refinery attack. People act like nukes are the only threat, but an all-out conventional attack could cripple most nations, possibly even the big guys.

top 10% lists on ToS are you friend.
basically you're looking for high volatility to sell inflated options which will get IV crushed in a few days.
i check these lists every day for theta plays or companies that are in a bullish trend but had a big selloff recently.
either way to be on this list they had a lot of movement, which means they have a lot of implied volatility, which means their premiums are stupid high.
PLUS there's TONS of stocks on there with share prices less than 10, which is the best way to get juicier premium/covering-cost ratios.

for instance i sold a DGLY 2.5p for $250 when it was at 2.7 after that first big pump. insane.
also do a little bit of math and don't be afraid to sell ITM options that you think will go out of the money. ITM always has higher premiums which will collapse if it moves OTM.

but yeah i start everyday pouring over the top 10% lists looking for cheap stocks with options available.

So yeah I'm glad my wife gets her health benefits via her job and not from mine. I pay just 27 a month for health ins (dental, etc is a separate thing). Do not do it. If you own it. Sell everything!

Buy Citigroup.
Why?

>Because during the 2008 financial crisis the stocks doubled in barely 6 months and that was a full blown real estate crash

just a heads up that they're not the best for BUYING options because of the high volatility (which is what makes them juicy for selling).
for instance i started out looking up top 10% gainers with options available and buying puts for the inevitable selloff. but the IV crush would fuck me.
but for buying stock outright (looking for top 10% losses for a big dip to buy) and selling options they're pretty awesome

I definitely attribute my success to luck, and make no mistake, it can go south on you. If that happens you just have to give yourself a sell threshold.

anyway yesterday MSFT was near its 200 milestone, so I rode that wave. today apple was mooning so I bought 380c when it was at about 367 and sold at about 369.50. It did go a little higher but ended up closing lower than I bought in at so I felt kind of vindicated

anyway I’m increasingly nervous about the stability of the market and my spidey sense tells me we’re going to have a big crash over valuations instead of economic fears some time before EOY. but I don’t know when or how bad it’ll be. low treasury and bond yields is also driving up equity prices so it’s turning into kind of a zombie market. forget zombie corporations

When I started in 2015 I looked back at the 08 biggie and 2011/2012 dips with jealousy. Now not so much. There has been tons of volatility to play with over the last couple years and likely lots more to come. Also, hindsight is a bitch when it comes to the market. I've had three gfs over these past 32 years. On in my teens, one in my twenties, and one a year ago. All of them had a BO that was somewhat sour, sharp, or high pitched compared to mens' BO. Mens' BO is more musky, earthy, and low-pitch. Men smell more like fertilizer, and women smell more like spoiled milk. That's the best way I can describe it.

The RTX and defense industry play is not about actual war. Its securitizing the "threats" to create a demand for product. Obama & Putin did it with Russia to get Poland and all those other non-countries to sign armament deals with US defense industry companies. Trump tried to do this with the richer EU countries but they didn't take the bait. His thing turned into securitizing China, with Australia, Japan and Worst Korea as the markets. With Biden we probably have more securitizing Russia & China, and the defense industry produces some of the only EXPORTS from our country.

Part two is market cycle. If you think March 2020 was the crash, that means we are in the early business cycle phase. The defense industry is one that thrives in that phase.

Part three is fiscal stimulus. RTX and most of the industry make gainz off of contracts, and the DoD FY21 budget is already more than $700 Billion. Each branch is already being told to spend more to stimulate the economic recovery.

LK i would feel nervous about selling puts on just because they have so much in the way of bad fundamentals (caught lying about numbers, talk of delisting going around the forums).
i'm a pretty new trader and so don't feel qualified to assess its share price or future prospects as to whether or not it's going to go back up or just keep winding down.
shitty fundamentals aside however, shit seems like an absolute dream in terms of selling options. it has a low share price and thus low covering cost, is on an IV spike right now, and most of all has LOTS of expirations available. that's one of the things that sucks about dealing in options where the underlying share price is low is often the expirations are minimum of 2 weeks to a month which can be uncomfortable holding.
earnings coming up on the 26th tho so IV will be going up as people expect a big move, and thus the premiums will just get juicier. but it all comes down to "would you feel comfortable buying 100 shares of LK after all their press and stuff at, say, $2.50 a share?"

it's tricky

another thing i'll do is i look at the worst case scenario if i don't feel good about a stock selling a put.
LK for me the worst case would be some catastrophic announcement comes during earnings and they collapse down to say $0.6/share.
that's no problem so long as the premium you received was enough to cover the loss you would incur buying $250 worth of LK and then selling it for $60 (or bagholding).
so to feel better about it I would look for a premium of $190 maybe by selling an option with a longer expiration (and thus higher premium)

Looks a bit too spooky for me but I do want some renewable trash because zoomers want to do ethical investing as they begin to enter the markets. Already big money is shifting. I need to get my dick out of old energy and into some tight wind whores or something.

because many still use atms. numbers do not lie. atms are never going away. CATM has a stranglehold on the US market too. We added like 100k terminals last year and that's a big reason I was hired on to help with the growth. company will only get bigger and will make money off the recession. consider 23 or 24 a bargain once it hits 40 agian.

>a team that isn't exactly against the citizens?
very cute

they don't give 2 shits about the citizens
when the meta was "black man bad" they pulled so much stalling bullshit... if they had acted sooner instead of delaying TARP and all that shit until it was too late. I have no idea how many Americans killed themselves when they were foreclosed on, or lost all their savings when Lehman collapsed (brokerage accounts are/were apparently not insured the way bank accounts are, as everyone who banked with Bear Stearns got their money).

And they sure as shit sold us lie after lie to get us into two of the most ruinous actions the US has ever taken by going to war in two worthless sandtraps. Though the dems were complicit enough.

Look, it doesn't matter, the reality is that they're ALL on the same team. There is no real difference between them. All the drama just pumps donations into their election campaigns and distracts us from the fact that the democracy is gone, the kleptocracy is here, and the middle class is joining the lower class as the new peasants, a completely replaceable workforce who will be automated away.
