i am a heroin addict /biz/. I just called my dad and lied to him to get money for food. I used it on heroin the moment I got off the phone. I call him every other day and lie. He knows I am a junkie. he believe my lies. dealer said he may like me to help him out, in exchange, I can have a regular supply make some money. my dad pays for my apt. my entire day revolves around it. if I don't have it, my mind is in chaos, my body is shaking. my arms are trembling right now. I need it just to feel normal and do regular things. is there any way out of this? you are my guys and I'm even a linkie with 500 link but my ex is holding it for me.

Opioid addiction is a meme. I went out of my way to procure various opiates and none have ever induced any euphoria. Just a stupor and haze of sorts that only a braindead low IQ individual can enjoy. I also kept taking them because I read they can lower your sex drive. And by that point, I wanted to see what muh withdrawals were about so I quit cold Turkey. Minor cold like symptoms and increased pain sensitivity. That's it. Headaches are the worst thing ever to me and it couldn't even cause one. I've come to the conclusion that opioid addicts are low IQ, they get pleasure out of it in the same way an abbo gets pleasure out of sniffing glue. Furthermore, they are morally, physically and intellectually weak to bitch about booo hooo muh withdrawls. Dumb and weak. The most psychologically addictive thing is sex and masturbation and people refuse to admit it because ids naturalllll doooood!

You need to get on suboxone immediately everyday you wait is time you won't get back. I don't know where your at in the world but here in PDX it's so cheap that quitting doesn't make sense. But once you start exchanging your body or freedom for it you are fucked. Either jail or death is what awaits you. Im 2.5 years sober and I wish I'd quit alot sooner. It's hard AF staying sober but it'll pay off, that money your dad gives you kills his soul everytime he gives it to you. Please look into subs and then going to 90 days of rehab. If you don't have insurance get on state insurance, do not let your father pay for rehab. Subs and rehab are your way out but remember everyday you lose take 1-3 days to get back. Also every $100 you spend on black can be invested and you'll get a high from trade crypto or earning money.

I used for years anon, its a horrible cycle to be trapped in. You are a chemical slave. I got on methadone to bring some stability to my life (a job, change routines, etc) then I slowly tapered off the methadone. Its not for everyone, some people can just kick cold turkey. I couldn't.
Get away from that life my dude. Its a horrible way to live and it only gets worse. Don't throw your life away like I did. I am doing alright now but lost a decade and half of my life when I should have been building a life, family, and career. Feels shitty being poor and old. Please take my advice and get out of that lifestyle ASAP!

This anon is 100% correct your dad doesn't believe you but he doesn't want to see you get worse off by becoming homeless with a criminal record. Also good parents don't want to see their children suffer and they hope it's just a phase. It is a phase but one that won't end until death and will get worse and worse every day you continue using. Your getting some great advice on this thread you just have to choose to be done with it. Get insurance, get on suboxone, get tested for hepC, go to a 90 day rehab, move into a sober living house with roommates that have gone through what your going through, get a job or go to school, (college isn't a scam thats just fud and cope), start saving, find some hobbies, trade crypto for a dopamine rush and stay consistent. After about six monthes you'll start to feel normal, have a job, a place to live, and some money saved. At 1.5 years you'll be in a routine and have a life you never thought you'd have for better or worse. At 2 years you'll have money saved up, probably some new toys for your hobbies, you won't think about using often but when you do you'll think about how bad you felt, move into your own place. I wish I could write something that'd make you get sober but just remember you're worth having a better life, your family is worth not hurting and you can make this your rock bottom.
Sorry for wall of text but if I can help someone get off H I will always try.

TLDR: your life is worth saving and when using heroin life will only get worse.

Best thing you can do in my view is to find people who have quit heroin and other tough to stop drugs too and listen to their stories, their struggles, their thought process, learn how they got clean. They would have the best wisdom for you. I know there are YouTube channels where they interview former addicts who have gotten off heroin. Then I'd say to research addiction medicine and now they typically do it in a clinical setting and try to replicate that. It'll be tough but it's doable, If you actually want to stop just know that it is possible. Even people at rock bottom completely addicted to drugs who are close to dying and have nothing and have the most addictive personalities in the world have done it. Just know that you can too if you try hard enough
