Do I care about if the market "should" be bull or bear?
No. What I see is that fear causes money to fly into big and mega caps. And that there is little inertia or momentum to bother with mid and small caps because the economy is fucked for a long time. And now there is just more money that has nowhere else to go.

Smallcaps and midcaps are in tatters even now because the whole bull market up until February was on a feedback loop with megacaps. These companies also were and will be in the gutter since they are most exposed to the actual economy instead of endless GIBBS and tech boosts given to the mega caps. Any attempt to rebalance back into the small and mid caps is quickly erased by real red days as capital flies back into tech stocks and megacaps.
There is now also even more money trying to find safe havens and no one wants to be left behind if the "bull market" continues. TQQQ has no reason to keep growing except if none of this money wants to bother with anything except tech and megacaps. TMF both inverses the market and reduces the beta slippage of TQQQ.
It is Pascal's Wager. The thesis is wrong if TQQQ tanks which means tech tanked which means the market is back to its ~2008 levels and in flames. That is why the rebalance of profits is into gold miners (that generate revenue) and shifts entirely into gold if money velocity increases: the only reason inflation so far has not happened from money printing in 2008 and now.

-megacap tech is safe, has growth, and gets piled into in almost any situation.
-netflix for instance is a recession gainer, nvda sales even in march april kicked ass, etc

If you think they will keep stimulating and printing then the relative inflatio. and pe expansion will be way higher in something like qqq.

So basically longing qqq and certain tech is overpowered. Regardless of how shit the real economy will be. Because in a shit economy everyone is forced into those stocks.

So tqqq is massively overpowered, imba, broken performance wise. You can be a doomer and long qqq.

Rate my plan to get rich by abusing bankruptcy laws.

>find a friend who wants to make money

>put in like $20k each
>use as much leverage as humanly possible to bet that a stock will rise (robinhood is known for giving people access to way more leverage than they deserve)
>friend bets the exact opposite, that the stock will fall
>by definition, one of us will get rich and the other will go deeply into debt

Now here's where the secret plan goes into effect.

>person who goes deeply into debt doesn't actually own any assets or money
>declares bankruptcy
>ruined credit for 7 years but doesn't actually lose anything else of value

Meanwhile...

its been piling up for a few years. it started when i had to put $8,000 on the card for my dog to have surgery. then i had medical probelms myself and needed stomach surgical procedure for a tumor or polyp that was blocking my valve from closing. i put that on the card too. then coronavirus panic in feburary made me buy a bunch of groceries and shit that i stocked up on using the card. that money wont go to waste since im going to use all that stuff anyway, i just bought it all at once artifiicially early before i needed it (toothpaste, soaps, dog food, canned food, etc). then when the market looked like it was about to fully crash in mid march i bought about $2,000 worth of gold and silver that never mooned like i was told.

ive been lucky currently bceause the 2 cards with the biggest debt have "covid19 relief forebearance" so they halted the required minimum payments until august even though interest is still accruing each month.

i actually had a new job about to start at the end of march but my faggot california governor shut down the entire state and the company that hired me said they were suspending all new hires so to stay home and await further instructions, then a cuople weeks later they laid me off. since i never actually started the job i didnt qualify for unemployment. and my state (california) is so assfucked backwards with retard leftists in charge that they rejected my initial unemployment claim when i was trying to get the federal CARE act $600 relief as an independent contractor (since i deliver food in my spare time for uber and grubhub) so i resubmitted it and its still been weeks where they havent responded and nobody ever answers the phone because it just rings until it says "all circuits busy" and hangs up. so i still havent gotten the federal unemployment money or i would use that to pay the cards. i dont know what to do guys, im trying to start an online business locally for IT suport

Does it just subtract from the value of the security in my account automatically, will it be subtracted from my uninvested cash, or is it something else? Hello frens,

I have returned to shill a stock I first mentioned here a year or two ago, Newrange Gold Corp, which goes by NRG.V or NRGOF. Unfortunately, my first recommendation was poorly-timed, as the share price dipped soon after I mentioned it.

New developments are on the horizon, though, and a new chance at seeing a nice rise in the share price. But first, a refresher on why I have a lot of faith (and money) riding on NRG.

NRG owns a property in Nevada that was privately owned since 1896, with very little modern exploration being conducted. Before that, there was a gold mine on the property, and there are historic mine workings that have been explored and sampled by the company. While those miners in the late 1800's were able to find visible gold, it seems there's a lot of gold too small to detect with the naked eye on the property, which the old miners were unable to recover. Modern technology will make mining and recovering this low-grade gold quite easy and cheap, though. There's also potential for additional high-grade discoveries on top of the ones NRG has already made.

NRG started a new drill program on May 28th (which was also my birthday...a good sign?). Last drill program took around 6 weeks for results from the first 10 drill holes to come in. Fingers crossed they find some additional mineralization and maybe even some high-grade results. At their current share price, the company's market cap isn't even 20 million, there's definitely some potential here.

I highly encourage anyone interested to check Newrange's website and do some research of their own, there's a lot of great info I didn't mention in this post. I have about 30% of my portfolio in NRG, and I have a lot of faith in its potential in the coming months/years. Please DYODD, but hopefully we will make some money off this at some point in the future. I've been holding shares since 2017 and have nothing but patience, and you should, too.

One way or another, we're all gonna make it

i was considering actually withdrawing my current 401 which is about $8k and would pay off the worst APR card. is that a good move? it hurts to think about but right now as i understand, theres no penalty to withdraw the 401k due to corona hardship exemptions.

yeah and like i said i take responsibility for the debt i knew what i was doing. i made the decision and i wouldnt redo it, the credit cards saved me by allowing me to spend more than i had for some important emergency costs. unfortunately my emergency savings wernet enough, i only had like $4,000 in my bank for emergency funds to cover my costs so i had to dip into the credit card, they served their purpose. i opened the cards with the specific intent to never use them unless for an emergency and thats what i did. if i didnt have them, i woudlnt have been able to afford to save my dog. id probbaly still have been treated at the hospital but would be in debt collections with a bad goy score since i couldnt pay the bill.

im just trying to figure out the best way out. i wanted to do a personal loan but because my current CC utilization my bad goy score is impacted and since i have outstanding debt im only approved for like $3,500 from the one place i checked so far. so thats not really too helpful although its better than nothing

so far my plan is to deliver food and risk death by chink flu, while continually applying for a regular job in the IT field and hopefully something will happen soon.

Nope, they're purely an exploration company. They own another property in Ontario, and they sold off some Colombian properties fairly recently, which gave them a healthy injection of cash, and more cash from that sale will be coming down the line. They've done their fair share of private placements in the past, but I'm not too worried about additional dilution at the moment. Fully diluted, they'd have about 135 million shares

Nevada was famous for silver. Was there gold in this location found before?

>> No.19822751

>>19822701
Yep, there are tunnels and workings from the late 1800's on the property, as there was once a gold mine there. From the company's website:

"Discovered about 1884, the Pamlico District quickly came to be known as one the highest grade gold districts in Nevada. The earliest record of mining in the area dates back to 1885. Subsequent high-grade underground mining exploited many veins in the district through numerous inclined shafts and adits. Since at least 1900, the Pamlico Project has been tightly held by family groups and limited modern exploration has been done since.

Like many districts of the time, production was shipped to custom mills in existing mining districts such as Aurora and the Comstock Lode, the recovered metal often being inventoried as production from those districts rather than from the actual district of origin. The United States Geological Survey estimates production from the district between 1885 and 1900 to be roughly US $1 million, or approximately 50,000 ounces of gold, from “several miles of workings” at gold prices averaging US $20.67 per ounce. More recent production efforts are evidenced by the remains of a large twenty stamp mill that had capacity to treat 100 tons of ore per day. The mill was reportedly constructed around 1900 and was still “active later in the 1920’s”."

More info can be found on the website, but that explains it quite well

I don't know all of the strings attached to that hardship withdraw, but if you can get your little paws on that money and out of the hands of the 401 system and into a personal ANYTHING (except normal IRA, i guess), i might recommend it. make sure you're bulletproof first. I think the 401 is probably going to get targeted by government, but I also think that the hardship withdraw might brand us... tough dealing with such distrust in our representatives. hmm.
>i made the decision and i wouldnt redo it
definitely not trying to scold you over it. It was (and should still be) a tough decision and you got dealt a shit hand a few rounds in a row.
>only approved for like $3,500 from the one place i checked so far. so that is not really too helpful although its better than nothing
Yeah, I might take it. If the rate is under 10% and you can make regular payments on it, then i would shoot for the 3.5k.
>my plan is to deliver food and risk death by chink flu, while continually applying for a regular job in the IT field
see if you can jew the system. get some super shit with turnover and then try to leave and then obtain CARES while searching for the new job. Maybe someone you know can help you with things... maybe pay you under the table after putting you on the books. I pin my absolute lack of fear of death onto this. My combined anxiety and depression was giving me hard time and I felt like I was suffocating every other day, at one point I was just fucking tired of that shit and thought "I wish I could fucking die already" and all the sensation of suffocating and anxiety disappeared like magic and I realized I don't fear death anymore.
When I tell people this they think I'm LARPing as a tough guy but the truth is I genuinely don't remember what's it like to be afraid for my life. I'm deathly afraid of something happening to my gf though since she's the only reason I bother with this shit existence.

Wassup /smg/ negroes. So I'm reading a paper from some journal written in 2012 on trading volatility ETFs like VXX, TVIX, SVXY, shit like that. The punchline is this is before the infamous volpocalypse of 2018 where XIV dropped 90% or something overnight and was shutdown in the process rekting the FUCK out of a large cohort of retail traders who'd gone all in. People love a sob story and to know they can do it on the government's dime is probably going to help out. You don't even need to do fraud for some of this shit. You might be able to manage with some overhead. under tax credits related to wages
>get some somewhat struggling combini to hire you and pay up to 10k on a short term temp contract to help out while labor is tight for front line workers
>they get a 50% back on wages and health benefits
>so it's about 12k cost to them after SDI that gets chopped to 6k
>you agree that of that wage, you'll commit half to increasing his gross receipts on higher margin perishables and keep working under the table for free once you get approved for CARES and until it runs out for you
>he gets 3 months of labor paying UI (does he do this even?) and covering health

Are there any updates on what happened to this guy? Did he really kill himself because he mistakenly thought he lost all his money on Robinhood because he didn't understand what the numbers in his account meant?

No. i use Bank of America, cause they support black lives. $1 Billion donated to BLM. A good start. Feels great knowing that a small part of that comes from the revenue they make investing my savings, and from the banking fees that I pay. Together, we are healing the community.

Nope. Successfully shorting the S&P without losing your ass on the hundred times it doesn't go in to bearish continuation off the dip is hard. You gotta be good and quick to cover your position at the faintest whiff of failure to trend. If you're not prepared to sit on it with a hair trigger finger on the sell (buy) button, you shouldn't attempt to short the index.

I dunno what you should buy on Monday. A lot of it depends if indexes are going to dip again or not. So wait and see.

Depends on what’s red and what’s green.

I would REALLY like to get back in Regeneron if it heads back under 600. I had been buying at 580 and today’s run up to 640 was insane so I sold out my position.
