Do you lie about your financial situation?

I told my gf that I only make 1400euros yet I actually make around 2800euros, I just put half of it in ETFs and p2p stuff etc

My family know how much I make now because I'm a retard and let it slip, but after college I taught English in Korea for three years and came back pretending to be broke. To this day I haven't told them I saved up $54k in that time (or that I've been growing it since).
