Why does it take so long to get a job holy fucking shit. I have a fucking bachelor's degree in business and am mostly applying to jobs that don't list any education or experience requirements (because I know I have to start low) and seemingly doing very well in the application/interview process but I just don't get any fucking job offers. I've been seriously trying to get a job for a month and I feel like I'd get rejected from Burger King at this point.

What the fuck.

>inb4 "that's what you get for going to college hurr durr!
That only makes sense if it's possible to get a job with zero qualifications right out of high school. Even if a degree is literally worthless I'm still starting at the same point and not going anywhere, so it would just be hopeless for everyone except for doctors or whatever.

At least I have no debt plus some money in the bank

I'm not completely sure but I think I actually lost out on one of these due to being white, there were 4 of us doing a try-out process and I was clearly a close second to this clean cut boomer guy who was way over qualified but I was WAY better than this mentally slow black guy and spergy white kid, so either they mislead us when they told us there were jobs (not a job) available and the boomer guy got it or there were two jobs available and they picked the black guy over me for diversity reasons.

I really tried to but people are fucking useless these days, they barely leave their rooms. Even the white coomers I was actually friends with were impossible to get out to go to a bar or something, they literally just sit around stoned all day and don't answer texts. Actually normies are quite judgemental and you have to walk on egg shells around them so that never worked out, and they still are very hard to mobilize for anything outside.

At least for me it was just 3 years. I didn't really have any good connections in my home town, my parents were liberals without many friends. Most people suggesting waging out of high school as a good career plan assume everyone has a dad or a close friend that owns a business.

That's not very long, anon. In this shit job market you should expect an average of 3 months of job searching.

Bro you are overqualified for many of the roles you're applying for probably. Protip: many job descriptions don't actually align with what the role requires. If it says minimum of 2 years exp, apply anyways. 4 years is pushing it but 2 and less is always a good sign.

Take you college education off of your resume when applying for places that don't require it. They think you're using the job as a stepping stone and will leave after 6 months even if that's what you intend to do.

Once you're established at the job, it might be beneficial for you to reveal that you have a degree. That's often a big bonus when going for a management position.

Best places for you to apply at are grocery stores and warehouses. There's opportunity for advancement into a manager position in those types of workplaces.

I have a degree in English and Philosophy and I got a job as a junior financial adviser within 2 months of graduation. But I spent most of my time networking, learning other skills like SQL and doing internships at banks. Uni isn't about the piece of paper, it's about everything else you choose to do or not to do during those years. If you spent 3 years getting drunk and coasted a 2:1 you are just about qualified to be a retail team leader or customer services manager. Sorry, did no one tell you degrees are worthless now?

How could I graduate in 3 years if I was drunk all the time lol, i did pretty well

Yes, people told me that but it didn't and still doesn't make intuitive sense, or practical sense for my situation given my pile of scholarships and lack of networking through my family. Think about this: the general argument against college is that college is the new high school, and thus not that valuable, but isn't someone who didn't graduate high school still much less employable than someone who did?

I also fell for the Business degree meme. The truth is you have to specialise as soon as you graduate. For me it's finance. 3 years out of university and I've already worked in tax and banking.

Others who graduated alongside me now work in recruitment, procurement, IT, etc.

Literally all of the advice, from all sides, about being successful centers around the idea that you can just start somewhere. It's really not that doable.

>mostly applying to jobs that don't list any education or experience requirements

Don't do this. Always apply for jobs with experience requirements that you don't meet as long as they are explicitly entry level (ie. they want 2 or 3 years experience listed on job posting). The experience requirements mean NOTHING for entry level jobs; they exist only so that if a company is sued by a money hungry nigger or roastie for "hiring discrimination" they can always claim they did not have enough experience for the role per the job posting. There is an entire jewish industry built around these "discrimination" shakedowns, so HR is very careful to word to job postings in ways that would better hold up in court even if they don't apply to their actual internal hiring standards. Same reason background checks, drug tests, and second and third interviews are required for bullshit white collar jobs where no one dies if you fuck up on the job like blue collar work.

And besides, whats the worse that can happen if you apply for a job with high experience requirements, other than a mass produced rejection email?

i think it's fair when you consider how low paying these jobs are. Also why should time be the operant factor? There are pretty much a fixed number of jobs available in an area, you could apply to them all in one day if you wanted. I've pretty much burned through all the ones that seemed like real options.
