Robin Hood was this thief, right?

He stole from the rich and gave it to the poor

It's about making a stand against these fucking Wall Street Jews, taking the profits and distributing it to the needy,, to those people who "do not know the secret handshake" like Trump said

Join the revolution my friend, there is literrally enough money in the world to make everybody a millionaire

Ok got it, but what does this robinhood do? Is there a bot or you trade manually with some guidance?

Here's you real redpill.

Robinhood is letting more clueless normies than ever get into the markets. Waves of dumbass FOMO money from this new retail investment sector is flooding into corpses like Hertz, while big money is holding cash on the sidelines waiting for the market to stop being such a roulette wheel. About 40% of those Trump Bux checks went into retail investing.

You know how 80s traders liked to say you knew you were at a top when the shoeshiners were talking about their stocks? Well now, cab drivers, nugget wranglers, and reddit posters are talking about their 2x gains on robinhood. Get out while you can.

Actually none of you explained me what's so special in this robinhood.

It allowed everyone to access the market through an app on their phone. No brokers, no go between. Literally made investing as easy as couple buttons and you're in the market.

Ok then, so it allows you to open trades and that's it? Normies are having success with this just by chance?

You mean the stocks? Of course.
I was asking what's so special about this app, some peculiar feature that other trading platforms lack?

>> No.19632169

>>19630390
Its just a brokerage. You buy and sell stocks on it. It's very easy to set up, takes like 2 minutes and links direct to your bank acct. The reason why most degenerates here use it is because they do options trades which I don't recommend because it is extremely high risk.
Beyond that, it had a lot of bugs people were able to exploit.
The actual good things about are
1) commission free trades
2) fractional shares
3) ease of use

>commission free trades
A lot of brokers usually say this but the trick is that their prices are different from the actual prices
>fractional shares
So CFDs? Everyone has it
>ease of use
I suppose they packed in a nice looking app the same shit a lot of brokers do on a website

>> No.19632448

>>19630390
It's shit.
Believe me, I have Fidelity, TD, Robinhood, and Schwab accounts.
Robinhood is the worst, with the fewest features (doesn't even have a stock screener) and most outages.
Only advantage is cheap margin rates and now a decent return on invested cash.

>> No.19632515

Robin hood is just a broker but with a twitter level UI so dumb fucks feel familiar with it. They also made options easily accessible through a retarded UI that's like "stonk go up click here" "stonk go down click here." The vast majority of users are FOMO retards chasing weed and other meme stocks.

In 2020 plenty of brokers have free trading so there is zero reason to gimp yourself with a half ass broker like robin hood with terrible glitches and bad order execution, not a lot of advanced order options, no futures platform, etc.

>> No.19632582

>invested
I mean uninvested.
Other than Fidelity, the others put your cash in a "cash sweep" instead of a money market fund, and it only gives you like .01-.02% vs. 1-2%

free trades. i wonder how they can do that? surely, it's not because they sell users' trading data.
