"when using data on your phone no one will be able to triangulate your location"

If you have any understanding of how surveillance works you will realise this is bullshit. Cellphone tower triangulation is not only outdated it's also a redundant analogue technology that was mostly used by law enforcement in the late 90's and early 2000's.

All modern cellphones especially smart phones are essentially GPS wire taps that the user voluntary carries upon their person. GCHQ / NSA can backdoor every one of these devices and to think that Mcafee is going to create some "revolutionary technology" that is NSA / GCHQ resistant is one of the most laughable and stupid things I have ever heard. Enjoy your meme bags your brainlet faggots

Maybe the term "triangulation" doesn't really apply (and you can still triangulate a transmitter from the signal strength from 3+ receivers, digital signals are still sent through an analogue carrier wave) but they probably mean something new. Imagine encoding text data directly on the chain and distribute it to the receiver anonymously, that would be freaking awesome use of the chain.

That's completely pointless as the worlds most used messaging app whatsapp already does that and has end to end encryption. Token not needed

The NSA won't use their toys to get you jailed for buying weed using crypto which is the main usecase for ghost.

Just imagine entrusting your phone to a nameless entity that out of all the dodgy places located in Eastern Europe. What if a breach happens, who is to be held accountable?

Don't try and be like AH NO GHOST AH PRIVATE AH U DON'T UNDERSTAND. Well if you listened to McAfee in that same interview, he said that this "Ghost" e-sim tech will only last 6-10 years before Governments find a way around it.

This is not FUD, just common sense.

NSA won't use their toys... They don't need too. The dev team have already been doxxed and their ID's are publicly known at the point. They are essentially creating a digital trap house with their real ID's. The FBI will pick them all up on day one the very minute a bag of weed gets sold on their "platform" Unlike other darkplace vendors that have gotten off lightly Mcafee and his goons are going to be made an example of and essentially will get the Ross Ulbricht treatment because of his fame.
