Covered call plays for this weeks earnings.
Ticker, Price, Rating, Strike, Premium as % of current price
PLAY 18.89, Bearish, 19.0C 12.4%
GME 4.14, Bearish, 4.5C 7.2%
CHWY 48.44, No rating, 48.5C 6.4%
PLCE 52.16, Bearish, 55.0C 5.7%

I think CHWY has the best upside, literally everyone is ordering for their pets from them.
PLAY has the biggest downside, they still aren't open and are basically still fucked.
GME who the fuck knows but keep this in mind: Short % of Float (May 15, 2020) = 251.30%

>> No.19583653

I had no money to invest in the market back in early April when it was looking like the market bottomed, and I didn't want to miss out on an opportunity that only happens every 10 years. I have a 15k line of credit, with a low interest rate (8%), and so I took 10k from it, and invested it into stocks. I'm now at 30k, and if tomorrow is a good green day, by the end of the day, I will sell enough stock to pay back the original 10k I borrowed, leaving me 20grand to still play with. Despite the risks, Im glad I did it.

Doing it now though? That's...more questionable IMO. Tons of the upside has already take place, and Im genuinely wondering if theres going to be a massive cashing out soon.

I invested into mid-sized stocks that took a beating more than the big boys, so there was more risk involved. However, In whatever industry I was looking at, I made sure to look at the healthiest of those mid sized ones, as to reduce risk.

However I recently went long Air Canada since that's a longer term 3 bagger that Im very confident in. I'm slowly moving away from riskier plays and just settling down into the bigger companies for longer term 50%-100% gains.

Why?
Upside is you collect premium, downside is you have to buy a broken company for dollars per penny.

If you’re gonna gamble on the shortsqueeze, might as well buy a call with a sell target many times higher than the current premium, just in case you miss it, no?

Same reason why they have required net worth before you're allowed to do some types of investing. It's to make sure that only kikes can get ahead. They'll put as many road blocks as possible to fuck over goyim. I won't be surprised if we start seeing capital requirements before we are allowed to own and use crypto. It would be trivial to enforce with a smart contract and chainlink. This is why we must band together as stinky neets and bring about the holocaust but for real this time. Chainlink has the potential to free us or permanently enslave us. The jews are up to no good as usual and they won't stop until every last one has been killed. The synagogue of Satan is a powerful enemy though. It will take all Christians around the world joining together to do God's will here if we are going to succeed.

I'm no expert but I bet some other overpriced shit in the same vein is gonna drop when it stops being topical. Plus as pandemic fades, the protests are going to be the only hot topic - and Pres. I don't think any algo you run would be better than you just manually doing trades. Theres really no point in doing algo trading as an individual investor. But as a research project, sure. The only place I found that offers this is https://alpaca.markets/ but I haven't used it. The other options are to catch the requests from your normal broker and try to copy them, or call brokers to see if they offer that kind of access. I just want to stress that trading more frequently or automatically doesn't really increase your odds of success when the root of these trades is just your own brain. Just think of strategies that you can do in the course of a day or week and calculate before hand, it will be more effective than a trading algo.

I agree about shutdown stocks, but less about work from home stocks. That is a trend many believe will continue. Zoom just got too hot, I expect it to keep rising. Slack didn't revise it's forcast higher the way Zoom did, and they couldn't claim the growth microsoft did, so they gave up a bunch of their gains. From what I know about the people who use it, it's MUCH preferred to Microsoft's Teams. (Anecdotally, a person I know who works at Tesla and has zoom calls with Elon also uses slack to coordinate with her work team and friends/family, for whatever that's worth.)

BUT it's time for people to rush back to bars and restaurants, so CPB and SJM will give up gains and you'll get some cheapies!

Returning to the office? Many businesses would rather slash out that overhead if possible, and allow employees to work from wherever they want with an appropriately reduced compensation.

Last EPS score was better than previous one showing they were capable of thriving during quarintine and will pump until Q2 earnings report.

i dont believe the market will go down until there's somewhere else to put money. a little investor might sell his $1000 worth of SPY because hes scared, and put that money in his checking account.
financial institutions hate sitting on money. it defeats the point of their existence. so they'll gamble and try to make money grow.
now, let's say you distrust the stock market. most financial analysts do right now. even the bulls are hesitantly optimistic.
where else can you put your money? bonds? interest rates are down so low, you're practically losing money. real estate? there was a crash, and then a false resurrection caused by constricted supply. unless the economy recovers, real estate will bleed back down. buying in now is retarded when you can just wait a few months.
(all that leaves are a few volatile alternatives, like precious metals or crypto. financial institutions dont like investing large percentages of their assets in those.)
why, then, sell stocks? what else is better?
besides, everyone knows that:
a) QE inflates security prices, so you might as well ride that bull
b) Businesses are taking advantage of easy money to pursue stock buybacks, rising prices even higher
c) Every other player is facing the same predicament as you, and therefore will likely hold / buy more stocks.
something will eventually shift slightly, causing a massive crash.

at least, this is my analysis as a 28 year old gay man without a high school diploma

A company that has yet to bring a single vehicle to market is somehow worth 13 billion despite having no factories, no technology lead, and they are burning almost a hundred million per year despite only having 300 employees and a small office. Hydrogen powered cars are a complete meme but even if you think they are going to beat battery electric vehicles, Nikola won't produce any for at least three years meaning that they are going head to head against Tesla in their market until then while having zero vertical integration. They did a lot of capital raising before going public through partnering with companies that will produce parts for them if they ever get out of the vaporware stage. This was back when the valuation was three billion so I imagine that some of these companies will soon start selling their stock to bag holders.

What I don't get is how they think it's a serious business model when they won't be doing anything beyond getting other companies to produce vehicles for them. This is like them hiring someone to produce a semitruck and still expecting it to be better or more cost effective than what Tesla will produce. They claim to have 10 billion in preorders but you can go to their website and order a hundred trucks from them for zero dollars.

To be honest from here.
The fundamentals from 2008 to now are totally different.
Facts:

We have 0 Interest rates in other words cheap ass money
We have production at all time low but slowly climbing back
We have oil at all time low peaked and climbing back
We had bad news back in march / april / may but all priced in
We are slowly turning back pre-corona economic
We see jobs getting created back (see last job market numbers)

Now tell me , what are the fundamentals that would be convince to short everything?
Corona still?
You kidding right?
No one cares about the virus anymore
Vaccine soon 'bout to hit markets
Masks will prevent a huge second wave(even tho i believe on the second wave but its going to be a tiny fraction of what we saw earlier this year)

Back in 2008 and following we had a mortgage housing bubble because of rating agencies doing fraudulently wrong ratings in regards to subprime tranches and CDOS.
The CDOs were full of shit but rating agencies rated them as buyable to prevent contractors going to other rating agencies.
Not this time, the fed and gov all round the world has implemented systems to control the markets very movement. Also 2008 stock markets all around globe were kinda unregulated and boomers didnt understand (they still dont know) how all of that market worked.

TL;DR

BUY BUY BUY

Recovering after a meme period, you can't have the current world existing without oil. Some countries are being assholes to one another because of the price war, but it's not like oil became useless due to CoronaMeme.

The problem is that Tesla may be changing their battery chemistry to something that doesn't use a lot of nickel, like most other EV manufacturers have already done. Nickel is fairly abundant and easily mined in places like Canada so it doesn't have nearly as much pricing pressure as something like Cobalt.
