Reposting to maximize return on my (You)s since last thread was near bump limit. Thank you to the one person who replied.

I dumped a few thousand into the market back in March to exploit the flu for some extra dosh. Now I'm looking to the future and putting the extra thousands of dollars I never would have had otherwise to work. I'm soliciting advice from various sources so I wanted to ask here. When I eventually decide to cash out on my meme stonks, should I
A) Sell off equal to my initial investment and keep the profits as free stonks
B) sell off equal to my profits and reinvest that money
C) Sell off everything and reinvest into my 401k or other long term investments
"Meme stonks" are airlines, cruise lines, and small oil like MRO, OAS, etc. Thanks for the advice lads.

That's Theta my man.

You want to sell options rather than buy them for that reason. You can literally make money selling OTM long-expiry options and buying them back for pennies. As long as you're running directionally neutral spreads, or spreads that correctly guess the position of the stock in the future you have very little chance of losing.

This actually is priced in, and unironically bullish. "A study circa 2013 estimated a modern day Carrington-class event---would cost the US around 2 trillion dollars". Also known as exactly 1 Rona. Price currently would probably be higher of course, but nothing the Fed wasnt already prepared to whip out, say 2-4 Rona. Apart from that, it would finally allow a proper ground war to break out, which would otherwise never happen in our lifetimes.
The last one apparently missed us in 12' though, and they run on a ~150 yr cycle mostly.

I feel you on this fren. I started trading at the beginning of May and my return so far is +102% but I'm very cautious with how much things have been pumping. I initially went into all this with virtually no knowledge and my portfolio was down over 70% just a couple weeks ago but I was able to more than make up for those losses this past week after changing my trading strategy so I feel like I've learned a lot too, but I know I still have a long way to go. Hope we can both make it bro

Well sometimes. Stop loss orders are the one fiddly bit I haven't decided on a solution to as yet. Going back to testing, they're about coin flip on whether they improve or weaken the performance of my trades. Main issue is the ^ shaped reversal. If I get the ^ pattern, stop loss wins every time. If it's any other kind of reversal, just letting my indicators work their wizardry gives better exit.

She then offered me a tour of the workplace to see first hand everything the company has done to protect us, etc. I acted neurotic and told her I needed time to think and would call her tomorrow.

You are saying the same thing. A trailing stop is an exit strategy. A pullback because of revised forecasts is another. The point is that if you buy/sell anything you have, beforehand, set targets or conditions for both. There is a lot of "when do I sell" or "should I sell" and a lot of FOMO buying in these threads for example. That is what you want to avoid.

Hopeful. Oil is not going anywhere for the next 20 years at least. Electrical Cars are such a fucking meme, they have no power. Feels like you're riding a mobility scooter.

Off topic but you guys have helped me out with stocks and I couldn't let you not have at least an opportunity to watch this in your lifetimes if you haven't already. Yuri Bezmenov.

Electrical cars are a meme because lithium ion batteries break down rather quickly
Modern electric engines can be easily far more powerful than a conventional engine, and all that while using less space
Less moving parts also means less mechanical breakdown, Electrical engines can generate while breaking, all without slowy destroying your breaks

Electrical cars will be a meme until dumbass liberals finally take the nuclear pill. Right now they are too retarded to understand it's benefits while simultaneously belonging to a cult they call"science"

The protestors are (somewhat) peacefully protesting the death of a not-so-innocent and retarded black guy at the hands of a power-drunk and retarded white guy.

The rioters are the destitute masses taking advantage of the large crowds the protesters are forming so that can get ahead now that 30% of them are unemployed because our reserve currency economy was built on top of a fragile foundation of our majority population earning pennies by serving drinks to each other and fixing the homes of the rich.

The only organizations that benefit from not differentiating these groups are the same ones that made billions while the market tanked in March by allowing the Fed to subsidize their decade of anemic growth and piling losses, with political lean being completely irrelevant.

At what point is an investment lost to you? For example Boeing lost 80% of its value but we see it came back around.
