Youre not supposed to risk everything. Youre supposed to put a percentage away in a long term investing portfolio and then a percentage into either day/swing trading at spot or leverage trading. Of that percentage that you put away, and its determined by how high of a risk you want to be - you could make it 90% long 10% to play with, or 50% long 50% to play with for example... of that percentage you put away, you really shouldnt risk all of it either, unless youre willing to replace it. Take 25, 50, 75% of that and if youre smart you wont use 100x leverage, maybe more like 3-10, again depending on how much risk you want. This way you really shouldnt lose everything, use stop losses, never allow yourself to lose more than 1% on a trade.. or you can go balls deep and throw it all on red, 100x leverage and wait for massive movements, only trading during massive movements. Hope it doesnt retrace for a second after you buy.
