I have $1500 to invest in something, and was thinking: $750 on the SP500, $375 on tech companies and $375 on Crypto, being 50 percent eth, 45 percent btc and 5 percent monero.
I really know nothing about anything, so feel free to reformulate My model.

Also, recommend other coins that are a better investment

You don't have enough capital to diversify. All in crypto.

Yeah. He shouldn't bother much with stocks. Crypto might give him 5-30x. Impossible with sp500.

>> No.19431151

1500 isnt enough to worry about putting 32.5% in this and 13.8% in that. just stick the lot in bitcoin, gold or s&p500 when it dips and focus on getting more to invest

You don't have enough money to diversify. You diversify as you continue pumping money into your portfolio. But for starters just put all that money into your top choice. Then put the next $1500 again in your top choice. Then after that you can start buying your second choice. That is how you slowly diversify when you're starting with almost nothing.

you can buy cents worth. The problem you should be worried about is fees eating up your investment if its too small, not volatility on a couple of hundred bucks

Hey my stoic bro, your plan is actually not terrible - obviously crypto is volatile.
S&P500 pays ~10% on average every year.
So say in 30 years you'd have ~45k. Adjusting for inflation, meh. If you have the opportunity you're better off just going all in in a 401k and managing it well.

You can't buy the S&P500 but you can buy SPY (ticker) which tracks it. Not the worst idea as it will automatically pull the largest 500 companies so you don't have to constantly babysit individual companies.

Crypto is a wild ride. The three you mentioned are actually not bad and probably have the most lasting power. Go with Hex if you want something with more risk/reward.

No, it's the new XRP. A ton of bagholders that are waiting for it to moon, not accepting it already has and they won't be able to retire anytime soon. If LINK moons, then crypto has been mass adopted and every coin will moon.
