The pumping of a ton of money into the system via quantitative easing does, in the short term, reduce the purchasing power of the USD. However, it must be recognized that every dollar created results in either new debt being created or acquisition of an existing debt instrument. Upon maturation of the debt, the issuer of that debt must repay the principal to the bond holder (the central bank) and the central bank then destroys the money through an accounting action.

This means that repayment of debt has a deflationary effect. What the Federal Reserve is either too stupid or corrupted to understand is that when a vast quantity of money is pumped into the system, that same vast quantity of money is eventually taken out of the system when the debt is repaid.

The problem is that vast quantities of money pumped into the system in a short period of time destroys pricing signals and causes malinvestment. It is malinvestment that amplifies the deflationary pressure created when debt is paid back. The issuer of the debt does not have the money to pay back its loan and must liquidate assets. At a large enough scale--and trillions of dollars of QE is large scale--the simultaneous liquidations of debtors causes asset prices to fall as demand for money skyrockets.

Without giving away truly free money (creating money without having a backing debt), the initial financial euphoria from the injection of money in the system turns into financial agony as money is removed from the system.

How much money do u have to invest?
Where do u live because silver is being taxed.
For high safety go in gold and if u can wait u can invest in silver because the gold-silver-ratio is atm around 97 (that means u need 97 silver ounces to trade for 1 ounce gold) , which indicates that silver is undervalued or gold is overvalued.
U can buy silver and if the gold-silver-ratio drops to 50 or lower, u can swap a part of your silver for gold.

A hint pms are both undervalued in these times, but market manipulations keep them on purpose low to feint the people about the economy and the problems.

"spot price" is a meme. If you want the metal, you pay whatever they're selling for. "spot" for silver per oz is 17 right now, but any third party dealer is never going to sell for 17 when they bought that some oz for 20 a few months before.

>> No.19410941

>>19410737
You will typically pay 3% to 6% over the gold spot price for gold mints from a national mint. When you sell, those same coins will likely go for spot price or maybe a 3% discount to spot price. At the moment, premiums on gold coins are little higher than usual.

I just took a look at APMEX and they seem to be less expensive than the price you've quoted. If you're looking for lower premiums, consider buying Canadian Gold Maple Leaf or Australian Kangaroo coins as they're almost always less expensive than American coins. Furthermore, the Maple Leafs and Kangaroos are 0.9999 fine gold whereas the American Eagles are 22 karat coins. Nothing wrong with 22 karat coins but it's a bit more fun to have pure gold.

APMEX is selling the American Gold Buffalo (0.9999 fine) gold coins for the price you quoted for American Gold Eagles.

As a former sailor, I'll say it is a pretty comfy lifestyle, you just have no life. Your entire life is on that boat and all your possessions fit in whatever small amount of storage you have and you're a sea nomad with a bunch of cutthroats as friends.

Try gold.de for the best price in germany/austria.
U can use the Aufgeldtabelle, which u can find under "MEHR" to look for the lowest premiums.

Best time to buy gold and silver would be normally in avril and in june-july.
In january/february the price goes up because chinese people celebrate their new year and gift gold to each other.
In autumn most indian weddings are held, because they believe these weddings are blessed. Indians buy a lot of gold as jewelery for the bride.
But in these time, nothing is normal.
No one can predict the price, but i believe ,that the gold price will go up to minimum 2000$ in the next 18-24 months with some dips.

U can buy monthly some gold or silver to get the cost-average-effect.
U have to ask yourself , how much do u want to invest and do u believe in a crash with a hyperinflation the nxt months?
Or du u wanna get gold as provision for old age ?

To anyone still wondering about money metals exchange:

Just received my package. They shipped very fast, estimated deliver was next Monday. I ordered 5 rando silver ounces, some merc dimes and a 5g bar of gold. Here are some details.

The five randos turned out to be the same five coins from the Austrian mint. But for me they might have sent coins with a higher numismatic value. I can only find one site with the same coins.

The merc dimes came in an adorable little baggie. Some of the dimes are janked up. This should equate to about 50 blowjobs during the second Weimar period.

Gold bar was also a rando but it came from the perth mint.

They also sent a bunch of advertisements and stuff in an envelope.

Overall pretty happy with the purchase and glad to expand my stack.
