Sup monero senpai. Feeling comfy?
Our daily transactions were close to 14k yesterday, continuing a very strong week of continued long term growth. In fact, I just read that we had more transactions yesterday than Bitcoin Cash. With continued dark net adoption, we should be pulling ahead of Litecoin and other Bitcoin derivatives within the year.
If you are a noob feel free to ask questions and we'll help you out. It's never too late to become familiar with the most fungible cryptocurrency.

I think most people are pretty realistic about Monero. I don't think it is going to just suddenly take off, but that's a good thing. We are building a really solid and educated userbase, and because of that, the adoption is happening over the long term.
>and avg people arent going to buy monero like bitcoin ever because of its criminal associations and lack of availability.
I think as of now you are right, but consider that in 2012 Bitcoin was primarily used on the dark net, where it averaged 12k transactions per day. Today, nobody really thinks of Bitcoin as a drug coin, but that's how it gained a userbase initially. Liquidity will rise over time, especially if the adoption continues to improve.

This.
Whenever I brought up XMR to normies they responded that "the government" will ban it. Also, they didn't yet see the value of XMR for themselves. In time they will see the light, once the sweet poison of fiat money (e.g. USD, EUR etc.) starts showing its ugly side. Precious metals will also gain tremendously since they are like physical versions of XMR but they already have much higher market caps and different properties.

I hate seeing the corruption of the cryptocurrency community by fast money, gambling, flashy marketing people in addition to the "serious" private equity people that moved in since 2017. FUCK YOU.

Solving the oracle problem is kinda like the "decentralization" meme, it isn't a binary solution. At least not with link. i just think with deposits, and link used as collateral, aswell as many sources, dataproviders and nodes, you can connect every blockchain. It creates a really interesting market dynamic, where you lose your collateral if you try to screw with the network (if you choose enough reliable providers in your smart contract). Will be cool to see if Polkadot works, and if they achieve true cross chain connectivity via link.
