If US military then take advantage of all the benefits they give you: Tuition assistance, GI Bill, disability once you're out, training, certification, etc.
Don't spend money on stupid shit, invest it all. You have everything taken care of by the military, food and shelter, therefore your risk tolerance is maxed out really, you could go dead broke and really feel it since you're employed by uncle sam.
