What is CME?
Chicago Mercantile Exchange. They have a market for Bitcoin Futures.

What is a CME gap?
The CME gap occurs when the Bitcoin price moves after the CME Bitcoin futures market is closed during after-market hours. For instance, if the Bitcoin price was at $6,600 when the futures market closes and was $7,000 when it opens, there is a $6,600 to $7,000 gap on CME.

Why do these gaps fill?
Using the above example, if they entered a short position at $6,600 and the market opened at $7,000, they would do all in their power to push the price back to $6,600 so they can get out of their position without a loss. Traders using CME Futures use huge trading volume so they can do this.

okay, so how can there be a cme gap to 3k this doesnt make sense. The time-frame is wayyy to long and sb holding futures from 3k wouldve long been liquidated? Or he wouldve done everything to fill the gap during the first few days after the march 12th dump?

please explain why I am wrong

daily reminder both of these are bullshit
>cme doesnt matter when the underlying trades 24/7
>technically there is still a cme gap there its just irrelevant

>cme doesnt matter when the underlying trades 24/7
okay but that isnt true because the cme has trading times. so if you enter a short position at 6500 and the market opens again the next day and btc is 7000 then, theres a gap to 6500. question is: is this really relevant?

I get 2017 vibes from this and I cant just dismiss it as FUD until somebody explains this shit to me in depth. we had 11 green weeks now, at every point you just had to buy and hodl for a few days to be at break even/in profit. bulls have it way too easy rn and the weekly is overbought a/f. we should be scared af, really.

also: no tether printed in 2 weeks, and thats exactly how long we've been crabbing.

during the post-march12th dump rallye 100-200million tether were printed DAILY.

this could very well be a forced distribution range, it just makes sense fuck.

>trading times
the futures SOLE purpose is to reflect the spot price

this is unlike the gap dynamics of ES and SPY where the cash market has to match the futures (aka an actual gap)

You know that triangles don't always go to the very intersection

Normally triangles conclude around the 3/3rd area of the triangle.

Where we are right now...
